Thanks for the info. I felt it was a legitimate question because it was the DJ and PK radio show that acted like Haws was very friendly with the Utah coach.
With DJ being so anti BYU and PK being so biased as to elude almost all credibility, why would anyone believe their bias? I like DJ. I think he is rather intelligent. He says many things that seem reasonable. But his lean away from BYU makes most of his opinions about BYU tainted.
PK is just plain ridiculous. He is not even worth listening to. If I can, I try to listen to someone else. His advertisers need to learn that a lot of people feel that way about him. Controversy is one thing. But idiocy is another.
I think DJ covers his bias pretty well. He really doesn't like BYU, but that's because he is an SDSU fan. Occasionally on their show, the game where BYU dropped 60+ on his beloved Aztecs (back when SDSU was okay) is discussed. I think that is the root of all of his dislike for BYU.
PK is just glad that when he goes to work he doesn't have to deal with Rick Majeras anymore. PK also shows a lot of love to Bronco and Rose. He is probably the most unbiased person in the local sports market. PK really doesn't have a dog in the instate fight, and he genuinely likes all the major coaches.
That is where I got some of my information about Haws and Utah, but there have been a few other sources. I can't vouch for the credibility of these people, but just the amount of people that I am hearing talk about it, and the relative indepedence of the sources leads me to believe there is something there. I am however adjusting the percentages I gave to be 70/30 BYU over Utah for Haws.
