To Break the BCS other than a 3 hour of one-time fame, you not only need to come back 2 or 3 times in 3 or 4 years, but you have to win when you get there.
Painful as it may be to say tis out loud, Boise State and Utah won when they go tther an dthat helped the overall cause for everyone. Hawaii got killed and that erased much of the good that Utah and BSU had done. BYU needs to play better in bowl games than it has in the past, and get ther and win. Then the BCS may either need to recognize the MWC or one of the BCS conferences may need to extend an invite.
I still think the WAC messed up when teams bolted to form the MWC. The conference should have fixe drevenue sharing an dgotten over the non-sense about traditional rivalries - made two divisoins - jettisoned a couple of teams by requiring a certain stadium size and gate guarantee for visiting teams, added BSU and TCU, and then the WAC would have Utah, BSU, UH, and soon BYU that had run the table and the WAC would be very hard for the BCS to ignore. A conference with those 4 BCS Busters and occasionally very good teams like TCU and Airforce would be hard to ignore after a Champion emerged in Las vegas. It would be OK to play it on UNLV home field, becasue UNLV sucks and would never be in it.
