I work in Commercial Real Estate in Southern California doing Acquisitions/Dispositions and Asset Management.

I graduated from BYU in 2002 and have always been a huge fan.

I'm a doctoral candidate in the clinical psych program at Auburn University. Originally from Northern California, BYU was the only school I applied to. Graduated in 2005. I spend too much time following BYU sports and definitely do my part keeping other BYU grads in the area informed.
I've enjoyed this thread. Keep it up.

The heavyweight while I was there was Gary Peterson. He also played football.

The Hansen brothers were all good guys, as were the Fehlbergs. Yes, the Fehlbergs were from Wyoming. They and the Hansens made Fred Davis' life a bit easier while they were there. By the way, I misspelled Rondo's name. There's no "h."

I remember Ed Parker putting on a demonstration in the ballroom of Wilkinson Center. He said people would ask him what he would do if someone hit him over the head with a 2x4. His answer, "I'd fall down." He went on the make the point that martial arts skills help you avoid such things.

Anyone living near Sandy, Utah, is welcome to visit me at Kim's Academy. I'm there Mondays and Fridays for family class. It would be fun to add some BYU fans, especially some closer to my age.

Was that the demo where Gil Hibben came out for a hair grab? Gil wore a hair piece and just left it in the guys hand. Gil was/is a knife maker and has become quite famous in that circle. He was decieved (along with 2 other Kenpo men) by a guy that thought he should be prophet after President McKay. Gil recovered but moved out of the area. I saw Parker in that time and he said something like, "It's a good thing I'm a Christian or that guy would be in for it". Ed is the only one I met but I understand his son is now active in Kenpo.

By the way, I used to hold the ball when Dennis Petera practiced. He kicked for BYU in the Hudspeth era. He was Ken P's brother one of the best shot putters in BYU's history. I also roomed with Dave Hindley an All American distance runner and one of the best guys to room with ever. Yup, I'm one of the old ones. I got to see Virgil Carter who is belongs in the list of great qbs.

I have loved BYU my entire life. My dad got season tickets when I was 6 years old and we would make the drive down from Wyoming every Saturday to watch Detmer and co. I did a couple of years at Ricks in between serving a mission in France. Then transfered to BYU and graduated in '02. I recently graduated from law school (JD, Wyo. '07) and am working as a state prosecutor in Wyoming. Please spare me the lame Wyoming jokes, I get enough crap from the Wyoming fans. I still bleed blue and have a BYU clock and banner hanging in my office.

Sadly enough I did not get married while attending BYU and met my wife at the institute in Laramie. She, sniffle, is a Wyoming fan. We have some of our biggest arguments over the BYU v. Wyoming games. I couldn't even get her to sit by me when BYU would come to Laramie to play (mainly because i was totally decked out in BYU attire). We don't have any kids, but we argue as to where their loyalties will lie. I am banking on BYU.

I'm currently a graduate student at the Y in counseling psychology. I got my BS there in psychology in 2006 (minor in coms). I also worked as a probation officer for a while before starting grad school (i hope to graduate around 2012, which means I have lots of seasons of student tickets coming my way .

I'm a 3rd generation cougar fan. I watched steve young with my dad in cougar stadium as an infant. I don't think I had any choice in the matter of becoming a BYU fan .

I am currently finishing my Masters of Social Work degree at Bridgewater State College in Southeastern Massachusetts. Once i'm done, My wife and 2 kids are heading back to Utah, where I was born and raised. Originally from Orem, however I own a home in Eagle Mountain.

My connection to BYU goes back to 1983, when my Dad got season tickets for the first time. He started taking one of his kids to a game on a rotating basis. My neighbor (Mel Olsen) was the o-line coach back then, and one night he had invited Steve Young and Lee Johnson over to his house. He invited my family over and we sat and had dessert with Steve and Lee. We got autographs, and took pictures. I still have the picture framed. Although I was a fan from then on, it was defitenly the '90 season with Detmer that made me a true fanatic. I went to the Miami game, and I watched with baited breath the heisman announcement. I love cougar football, (basketball is a distant second!!!)

I grew up in that ward and am currently living there again!

I'm an Orem native (same ward as Mel Olson; he still lives in the same place BTW). Grew up a huge BYU fan as my Dad worked there in the Continuing Education Department. I would attend games growing up with Chad (Mel Olson's son) and went to football camp with him as well. I graduated in 2007 and now work here in Utah County assisting families to make and reach financial goals by eliminating debt, saving for retirement, and saving monthly expenses on their insurances.

My wife grew up in an even bigger BYU fan home than I did and her dad and brother will probably die from a heart attack during a BYU football game. She is the one that makes the Spring Game and attending open practices a priority (even getting off work to attend a practice last year during the spring).

Also, I served in Japan as well. Boku mo genki desu
