I think we have just as good a shot this year as next. Ya we'll have a relatively inexperienced secondary this year, but next year we'll have a pretty inexperienced O-line. The good thing is we should do special things both this year and next.

Our o-line won't be so bad off. We'll have the "best" of the reynolds, sorenson will have another year, and I think we had a few freshman play some key minutes last year. I think we'll be fine on the o-line actually. The secondary will probably be fine this year, I just worry because we will undoubtably have some guys playing important minutes this year that haven't seen real game action.

I love that ESPN has an article on BYU which quotes the New Testament.

And does anyone know our OOC schedule for 2009?

According to the latest ESPN update we have OOC away games against the Corinthians, and Romans, and OOC home games against the Galatians, and Phillipians.

Yes, but that was what people were saying last year with Hall. All that stuff about how he hadn't ever taken a D-1 snap, and look how he turned out. I think they'll be ready. I'm not really worried about the secondary at all.

Nice article. I'm especially glad to see how Bronco is managing this team both on and off the field - it's nice to be "good" in both places. Unfortunately, under Crowton, that wasn't the case. Looking forward to this season.

The scriptural reference was awsome and I also liked this tidbit.

After finishing last season with its highest national ranking in 11 years, BYU will enter the fall riding the nation's longest win streak (10). The offense returns 10 starters, and several key holdovers remain from a defense that ranked ninth nationally in points allowed (18.5 ppg).
Nations longest win streak...10 returning starters on offense...I also did not know that we faired so well on D despite the poor performance against Tulsa. May we have a similar Defensive year. Remember all of last years secondary were walk ons at one point. I believe most everyone in contention for PT in the secondary this year are scholarship players.
