I have loved BYU my entire life. My dad got season tickets when I was 6 years old and we would make the drive down from Wyoming every Saturday to watch Detmer and co. I did a couple of years at Ricks in between serving a mission in France. Then transfered to BYU and graduated in '02. I recently graduated from law school (JD, Wyo. '07) and am working as a state prosecutor in Wyoming. Please spare me the lame Wyoming jokes, I get enough crap from the Wyoming fans. I still bleed blue and have a BYU clock and banner hanging in my office.

Sadly enough I did not get married while attending BYU and met my wife at the institute in Laramie. She, sniffle, is a Wyoming fan. We have some of our biggest arguments over the BYU v. Wyoming games. I couldn't even get her to sit by me when BYU would come to Laramie to play (mainly because i was totally decked out in BYU attire). We don't have any kids, but we argue as to where their loyalties will lie. I am banking on BYU.

Try not to focus on your differences...focus on the fact that you both, and this includes future kids also, can hate the Utes together. Therefore, it's no longer about you loving the Y and she loving the Pokes but that you both hate the Utes!

Go Cougs!

I attended the NCAA wrestling finals in the early 80's with my high school team. BYU placed 4th that year, and one of Rhondo Felberg's brothers wrestled in the finals.

I attended BYU from 1975 to 1980 with two years off for a mission. When I returned friom my mission, my roomates and I watch Marc Wilson take thtee cougars to an undefeated regular season. I was hooked on cougar sports immediately. I loved watching Danny Ainge, Greg Kite, & Fred Roberts in the Marriot Center.

Most of my children are BYU fans. Two are indifferent to BYU sports (even Lehi had a couple of kids that struggled). At least none of my family are U**T* fans.

I left BYU and became a respiratory therapist. I work alternate weekends, so it is hard keeping up with some cougar games on Saturdays. I usualy find an open computer to log onto cougarblue to see what is happening. DVR helps too.

I am now working on a BYU degree through home study. I will graduate after 35 years. My daughter will graduate this April.

Some of these posts are starting to sound like a dating service!

I am a homeless man. I sleep on a warm heating grate during the winter and on a park bench during the summer. I go to the public library in the morning and sit at one of the computers and browse the internet until noon. I then go out in front of Starbucks and beg for change.

Okay just kidding...

I am a military brat, but my dad retired to HI so I grew up a hapahaole. We were not Mormon, living in Hauula, and the missionaries came knocking. Most of us (mom and 4 kids) got bapped on my 11th b-day (my oldest bro one month later and my dad 2 yrs later-so 7 total.) Before the missionaries, one of the first things I ever heard of the "Mormons" was the WofW. I said to my friend who told me no tabacco, no drinking, no fooling around..what else is there in life! (at age 10 no less!)

I am a byuh grad. BusMgmt/ISCS minors in Spanish and Economics with emphasis in Accounting. I went to BYUH then Ricks where I met my wife then BYUH. We have four really cute, destructive, moody, rambunctious, kids. I played sports in HS and College. Served in the Guatemala City Mission, I mean the Guatemala City South, er Guatemala City South-Nicaragua, Guatemala City South Mission (it split into the North, Central, South missions a couple of months after I left). It split so many times I think we had more missions than some countries had stakes!

I work for the largest retail Jewelry Chain in the world - nope not Zales, Sterling Jewelers in Akron Ohio. I was in charge of the End User support team and handled special projects but we have grown so much I shed the headache part and now handle special projects like software rollouts, new technoloy testing, critial user updates (and by critical I mean executive and high profile groups or individuals), and so on. Unfortunatley I am still the highest level support tech/resource (which I think is bogus- I have enough to do and don't need to hold tech's hands). Don't really care much for the Ohio weather, I am a big Indian's fan though. At least when it snows in Utah you can go skiing. We have a ski resort here, with the longest run being at best a 20 sec ride top to bottom- no kidding!) I learned to ski in Cal on a wrestling trip to CA and then went everytime I visited friends in Utah. I even like it more than surfing! I own a set of slightly used skiis but don't have a surf board anymore. I am also an avid diver. I've done over 250 dives, the deepest was to 120 feet.

Alas, I am now in Ohio afraid to swim in any body of water for fear of it catching fire, kidding they cleaned up the cuyahoga years ago ( ), but the water holes just don't seam too inviting. I hope to some day obtain some gainful employment out west (hopefully Utah-call me crazy but it is a beautiful state with great people -the right environment).

I am 100% BYU. I remember going to several games at Aloha stadium. I was at the game the year Kyle Morell timed his leap on the goal line stand (1984). I don't think anyone in the stadium could believe what they saw. I went home and taped the news so I could watch it again! In HS, I was on the JV in 10th grade but got to practice in the spring with the Var with Lakei Heimuli, he was from my ward, and we played v-ball on the ward team, we were on the same community rugby team, and Hema became like a little brother to me. So when Lakei went to BYU that cemented it for me. But now it is the Standard that BYU is, that I am most attracted to. And with Bronco, you know I am loving it!

I like this thread so I thought I would add my two bits. I am an accounting student at BYU-Idaho but am currently in Connecticut doing an internship. I graduate from BYU-Idaho in July and then will attend grad school to obtain my Macc.

As for BYU, my dad went to school there and now teaches at BYU-Idaho. So I grew up going to Ricks College football and basketball games and hence also was a huge BYU fan. I have only been to a couple BYU football games though - one of which was the season opening win against Arizona this past year. But I am thinking of attending grad school at one of the Utah schools and if I do, I will hopefully be getting season tickets. I can't wait!!

Where in the Texas Hill Country?

In Texas!

I did serve my mission back in 1972-74 with one of the Hansen brothers - Laron.

Have some family relations to BYU sports, mainly track & field. Also, my dad's cousin is married to retired BYU sports broadcaster Jay Monsen.

I'm an Information Systems student at BYU. I'm originally from Mexico, so if any of you is planning a vacation down there sometime soon, I have some pretty valuable advice - free of charge.

I'm originally from Mexico too. What part of Mexico?

A bunch of places, actually. Dad is a mining engineer, so we moved often as he progressed in his career. 12 different cities in the 18 years I lived with my parents. Currently they reside in Queretaro.

I grew up watching the other type of football (which I still love, so plz no soccer bashing) but also saw an NFL game every now and then. I tried out for my HS football team (yep, we do have football teams in Mexico, but it's not common at all) and played cornerback for a couple of months. After getting repeatedly de-cleated by receivers, the coach thought I should do something more productive with my time. I agreed. Then, after watching the AZ and BC games on 2006 I became addicted to BYU football, and I've been to every home game ever since.

I enjoy playing any kind of sports, scuba diving, and traveling around the world. I used to be a Spanish teacher at the MTC but now I work at BYU, in the IT Engineering department.
