incredible, he decided to enter the draft with no agent. whatever: maybe by june he will pull out and realize its a mistake. I guess there is no harm in testing out the waters.

This actually doesn't suprise me whatsoever. By not hiring an agent, he can play the field and determine his draft stock, and he can still take his name out of the draft by some time in June and retain his eligibility. I personally don't see any way an NBA team takes him in the first round, (which is the only guaranteed money in the NBA), so I think that he'll be pulling his name out of draft consideration.

This is probably the smartest decision he could make in the situation he's in. He can see where he might be drafted and then make a decision. I think this is the right move for him.
I personally feel that it will show him that he needs to come back for one more year, but if it shows that he is ready then good for him and it was great that he was a Cougar for as long as he was.

Just yesterday or the day before they reported that he had "one foot in the door" but just hadn't made it official yet. This is not really surprising and I guess is the epitome of having "one foot in the door".

This is a great decision for Trent. He gets to test the waters with no pressure whatsoever. If the feedeback isnt great he comes back to BYU for another year. I actually think this is great for BYU because he will get to work out with guys who are as good if not better then him. Hopefully the competition will help him develop his game some more and receive feed back from NBA guys might motivate him to work on some aspects of his game that he seems to have over looked. It seems like this can really be a win-win situation!
