I really want Manti Te'o, John Martinez, Xavier Sua'Filo, L.T. Filiaga, among many others solid prospects this year... and we have solid commits from Adam Timo and Craig Bills and a few other solid players. But i'm also a realist in the sense that the star system is overrated due to the nature of whoever gets the most exposure gets the higher rating. But if we landed all of these recruits, do you think we would take it to even another level? Call me naive, but if we land every one of those recruits I mentioned up above I really think we would become a dominant power for years to come. They probably wouldn't help us immediately, but I think they will help us be a power in the Pac 12. Mark my words and quote me on this one. If we go undefeated and make the BCS this year and have a repeat performance the 2009 season then we will be invited along with one other team (possible Boise State) into the new Pac 12. Because we have beaten Pac 10 teams the past few years and if we beat them this year and next year, we will earn the respect from the Pac 10 commissioner and after back to back BCS berths he will love to add us into the fold. Then UVU can take our spot in the Mountain West. I'm just plain sick of the lack of National TV exposure BYU gets. So landing those recruits this year will pay huge dividends in helping future recruiting classes and help us compete for the Pac 12 championship year in and year out. Call me crazy but this is what I honestly believe...

Then Bronco couldn't keep his intention of not scheduling the Pac10 schools, unless then the technicality would be that he isn't scheduling the Pac10 because there is no longer a Pac10. Can you imagine having to deal with those officials every week???!!!

Yeah it'd be awesome! The officials are good to the teams inside the pac 10...its just if you are an outsider team playing against a pac 10 team that they are a joke.

You're crazy. I'm not holding my breath waiting for a pac-10 invitation. We'll sooner get an invite from the big XII. The pac-10 has gotten to be a snobbish club now that doesn't want to let anyone else in. Plus, all the schools are so liberal that they'd never let conservative BYU join the gang.

I recall hearing that BYU doesn't meet standards for admission to the PAC 10 because we are not a research institution, or something like that. Perhaps someone more attuned to the nuances of academia can shed some light on this.
