what a great argument. Thank you :)

For the record I meant to say "you're being an idiot"... but I'm not sure that makes it all that much better.

paul is good, I'll admit it. BUT, HE DOES NOT DESERVE TO WIN MVP. Most of his assists are off of oops, which isn't a bad thing, I'm just sayin, when he drives, he is out of control a lot of the time.

As for MVP, if KG doesn't win it, its a freaking joke! As much as I hate Kobe, I think he'll probably get it, and I think he deserves it. He is yet to win it, and I think that he'll probably get it as a collection for a bunch of years. Then King James comes in a distant 3rd.

I'm going to have to agree with Metal bubba. I'm glad the jazz have Williams. But Chris Paul is doing more with less! He should be the mvp. He took a team that didn't make the playoffs and now they have the best record in the west! He makes the people around him better. He's averaging over twenty one points, and over ten assists a game! Look at the people he has around him. Peja Stojakovic, Tyson Chandler, David West, and Pargo. Peja and Chandler were both traded from their old teams because they didn't perform. David West and nobody knew who David West was till the past couple of years when Chris Paul came to town.
Sorry Harline. I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with you. But I do agree that it should be Garnett should get some very strong consideration! I don't agree with Kobe. He has way more then Paul has. And yet Chris' team has a better overall record. Besides the Jazz I'm really rooting for Kevin Garnett too win the title. He finally has some great players around him. For more then ten years he's had nothing but mediocre NBA players around him!

Everyone keeps saying Kobe has way more than CP, I don't get it. If they were healthy Kobe would have more than Chris Paul, but Bynum and Gasol have both missed long stretches of the season, He's only had Gasol since February, and even then he has missed games from injury. Without Gasol and Bynum does Kobe really have that much more than Chris Paul? Chandler was borderline of really good before he went to NO. Peja has been a really good player, but obviously not good enough to handle the load himself.

Oh and Kobe has been playing with an injured hand.

If you say CP3 is the best point guard in the league, you might be right. If you say DWill, you might be right. If you say anyone else, you're wrong. The fact that people are talking about these two, and only these two players at that position is phenominal after only 3 years in the league.

Last month DWill had more assists in a month than anyone since John Stockton in 1992.

CP3 has taken a team (basically the same team he had last year, but still) from out of the playoffs to having the best record in the West.

The only reason that the Jazz ever give for picking DWill is the size. Here's some other things that I'm sure factored in. In CP3's last 3 games in college he punched someone in the groin, was suspended, and then no showed in the first round of the NCAAs. DWill's last three games he brought his team back from double digits down in 3 minutes to get to the final four, carried his team to the championship game, and then almost single-handidly beat UNC (only lost by 3). That UNC team had 6 players drafted that summer.

The age old question is what is an MVP? Is it the player with the best stats? Is it the player who has done the most with the least? Or is it the player who has done the most for the league? In my opinion, it should be the latter as first criteria followed closely by stats then most with least. I would use as tiebreakers stats like shooting percentage from the field and the line and game winners or times when a player has taken the team on their back and willed the team to victory. Having said that, and letting ya'll know I don't follow the NBA too closely other than the Jazz, I would vote for King James as MVP. What is his supporting cast? How many times has he taken over in the 4th to bring them to victory? What is the image he has brought to the league despite the prestige to bring a major attitude and arrogance?

Just my thoughts.
Go Cougs!!!

Ok. Kobe has a better supporting cast then Lebron but Kobe in a lot of people's eyes is the "best" player in the world. I'll agree that he most likely has the most talent? But He's a freaking ball hog! If you wanna disagree. Just remember the 81 point game he had two years ago. I think now that Gasol is back. Kobe clearly have a better supporting class. But in my opinion he has more with less then anyone besides Lebron. But the Cavaliers if they were in the west. They wouldn't even have made the playoffs.

Cp3 took a team that won 39 games last year. With virtually the same team. Now they have the best record in the west. It should either be Paul or Garnett.
