Locker can definitely run. I don't remember the last time BYU played a QB that runs like Locker. This is the type of game where Bronco's "assignment sound defense" and tackling will be the key. If the defense can be disciplined enough to stay in their gaps and tackle well we should be able to limit his big runs.

The AFA QBs always can run. But that's a different style of offense.

The last mobile QB who really gave BYU fits was Bradlee Van Pelt of CSU. The horror!!!

Air Force QB's can run, but they are not the caliber of athlete that Jake Locker is. I also do remember the drubbings that CSU laid on us durning VanPelt's years. Athlete for athlete, if you swapped places with Locker and Tim Tebow, I am not sure you would see much of a difference. Tebow is probably a little better passer but he also is surrounded by much better athletes, a better offense, and better coaches.

Exactly! Hall is a QB and Locker is a RB that throws (relatively poorly) sometimes.

I loved watching him gun for the game and I think he got ripped by the ref on the forward progression call.

But lest we forget. This was Hawaii he was facing. That's right, get-BCS-beat-by-40 Hawaii, and Jake Locker and company were playing close? Even a year's improvement won't be enough to prepare for our D-line this year. And 10 years prep wouldn't be enough for the husky defense to prepare for the squad BYU returns on offense.

To me the score, not the winner, is the only question. I like Max and company by 15.

While I do remember the "horror" of VanPelt correct me if I am mistaken but the last mobile QB who really gave BYU fits was Brett Ratliff of SNOT! More than HORROR!!!
