Ric Bucher on Colin Cowherd 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 22
According to Rick Bucher of ESPN the reason that the Jazz are so dominant at home is:

"It's Salt Lake there's nothing else to do. They're all Mormons and have to be happy with a smile on their face all the time. The Jazz games are their only chance to get vicious."

What an idiotic and ignorant statement

No kidding. I mean, has he ever been to a Y or U competitive event before?

Some people...

In his defense, he did go on to say that he didn't mean to "paint all Mormons with a broad stroke." He was simply trying to illustrate why Utah is such a tough place to play in th NBA. He really was saying it more as a compliment to Jazz fans for backing their team rather than a knock on Mormons, Salt Lake City, or the Jazz.

....Though the statement was rather ignorant.

He said he didn't want to paint all mormons with a broad stroke right after he had already done it minutes before and was about to do it again. He also went on to say that the things he's heard from fans at games in salt lake are as bad or worse than any other arena in the NBA. That can be easily explained by the fact that ute fans go to Jazz games.

Well like they said on Powerhouse (formerly A game) He said he didn't want to paint all Mormons with a broad stroke. But he did. Its like me calling someone stupid, then saying, "not that I think your stupid or anything"

Ric Bucher is such a pompus windbag. I've watched him on espn before and I had to shut it off. Hes a red headed stepchild that thinks he knows everything about basketball, but really doesn't. The real reason the Jazz are good at home is because they have a dynamic and deep young team. Young teams don't always fare very well on the road. Plus they get great fan support at home. I think the Jazz are 1-2 years more of experience, along with the addition of a low post defender from being the best road team on top of being the best home team. The Jazz have a legitimate shot at the title this year but I see some really great chances to get at least one championship in the next 5 years if they stay healthy and can keep their team together.
