If I had more time I would put together my top 25 and I will later after class but for now I will make a few points.
With the understanding that your projections reflect where you think the team will be after the "Championship" game.
I say a safe bet would be Georgia, USC, LSU, BYU, Texas, and Mizzu (in no particular order) in the top 10. I also think Texas Tech will be 12-16 at the end of the season.
If the media puts Notra Dame in the top 25 preseason I will...well I don't know what I will do but it won't be good. From reports I heard about Clausen before he came to ND I hope he falls flat on his face and is a major bust. Why is that ND gets all the primadonnas? Anyway, if you have time what are your top 25.

dude I love byu, but there is little to no chance they are in the top 10. I mean in my top 25 they are #1 haha, but my opinion means jack in the national picture! There are a lot of good teams coming up. And in no way does ND merit a top 25 preseason ranking but they are talented and will be scary if they get it put together (I too can't stand jimmy claussen, OVERRATED!) Ohio State, LSU, Kansas, USC, Texas Tech, Possibly Illinois (Though they lost mendenhall, they still have Juice and "Regis" Benn.), Florida will be good, wow i'm not really picking anyone out of the ordinary. My surprise team is going to be the CU Buffs. I think they have some great upside and I've always respected Dan Hawkins.

I know that the media won't be putting BYU in the top 10 but that is why I said YOUR top 25. Therefore I am not trying to predict where the media will put teams but where I think they will will be at the end of the season. and remember the media's preseason poll is suppossed to reflect where they believe the team will be at the end of the season. So, with that in mind I see BYU end up in the top 10 by the end of the season. I believe they will go undefeated and with their bowl game.
AS for ND, we all know they are a media favorite, I mean even ESPN as a specific guy (BEANO) to talk just about ND, what a joke. I really really hope ND flops again this year, ahh that would almost justify any one loss for BYU...but not really.
I think that Fresno State ends up in the top 20-25 and I believe that Utah ends up in the top 20-25.
I don't know where to put Mich. I would say they will end up 18 or so. I don't think Ohio State will go to the championship game and I think they end up ranked 8-12.
I don't have enough time to rate all the teams but if others have the time and are willing to put forth their opinions it would be fun to read and to go back to come Jan. '09.
I think Florida will end up 4-6.

Here's my PRESEASON picks for 2008-09 where they end up is anyones guess.

1. Georgia - It might go Oklahoma #1 but I believe I like Georgia over Arizona St. and Florida and Auburn this year.

2. Oklahoma - These guys are strong but loose great players to NFL- very good O this year.

3. Ohio St. - Weak conference but still a very strong team. USC will be the real test.

4. Missouri - Tough games with OK and Tex for Big 12 champ. One of the best conf's in the nation.

5. USC - Oregon and Ohio St and Arizona St. will be circled on these guy's calendar. USC will be too fast and strong.

6. Texas - If McCoy pulls his head out these gut will win a lot of games.

7. Florida - I hate to put Urban's team in the top 10 but Tebow is back again.

8. West Virginia - Will win Big East

9. Clemson - An ACC power. Good QB

10. Auburn - Tigers are tough. May loose a few along the way.

11. Arizona St. - Will contend for the PAC-10 title

12. BYU - Bronco and Company will win out this season and go BCS Busting. Watch BYU contend for a National Title in 2009-10 season.
