I wish that they would have some rockin' way to bring the team out onto the field prior to the game. For example, here at Virginia Tech, they always play the beginning part of "Enter Sandman" (from Metallica, for those who don't know), and the crowd gets ROCKING. They're jumping up and down in the stands like "pocorn popping" but it's more menacing. And the noise goes up, and it builds until the place seems like it's going to explode...which is does when the team rushes the field. It gives you goosebumps. Also, and this is the biggest benefit, it's done so well that the stadium is packed at that point. Everyone rushes to the stadium to get to their seats because they don't want to miss "Enter Sandman".
I'd love to see BYU play the opening part of a song like AC/DC's "Thunderstruck" to bring in some noise from the crowd. If you disagree, then find the track and listen to the first 30 seconds, while imagining Cougar Stadium getting pumped for the team to come out. It would rock.
Of course, this isn't something that the fans really have any control over. This would have to be instituted by the athletic department.
