Their campus (USC) is in a VERY BAD location.

Does a commitment end after 18 months? If someone signs a letter with Bronco, does that commitment end after 18 months? If so, then please disregard my previous message.
was under the impression that once you singed with Bronco, he expected you to play for him (period). I want to be fair to him though, so can someone enlighten me?
I didn't think you could be enlightened.

No problem ttexastim, here it comes. The Yewts suck , and BYU rules . It really is that simple. I'm proud of you for realizing that you were heading down the wrong path and having the guts and humility to ask for help.
ps I can't believe I missed this one for so long.

I know they did not like (more like hate) the UNLV lifestyle/atmosphere, and compare USC to UNLV in lifestyle/atmosphere. I would be VERY surprised to see Manti go to USC. Just because Manti is at Punahou, doesn't mean he thinks he is "better" than his cousins that went to Kahuku and that he is too good for BYU.
But this is all about Malosi. BYU will get a gem if he accepts. I am stoked for Malosi. I was disappointed when he didn't get offered from BYU originally. He is the biggest reason that rest of the clan is as well known as they are. He was one of the featured players on ESPN's Timeless about Kahuku football. He even had a paper published by either the Honolulu Advertiser or Star-Bulletin I don't remember which. He is the oldest of the football cousins and has been a stalwart example of dedication, devotion, and values to the rest of the clan. Malosi is everything you can ask for in a leader and is in the exact mold of those players that Bronco is looking for.
Listen here " MR EX NANILOA LOOP RESIDENT!" don't try and tell me If "I know?" You better believe I know! Just because you went to school with the Te'os doesn't mean squat. Obviously you are "talking bubbles" cause nobody said anything about Manti thinking he's better then his cousins because he goes to Punahou. Manti Te'o is one of the most respectful and humblest athlete. This is why combined with his great talent that every school is recruiting him HARD!
Oh and about your statement " IS MANTI TO GOOD FOR BYU?" If Pete Carroll can go back on his word and grant Manti the chance to serve a mission and said no to Sione Havili? YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT!
Maybe Malosi and his parents didn't like the UNLV lifestyle but that doesn't mean Manti and his parents feel the same. It's all about what's best for their son and because USC will grant him his chance to serve his 2 and is one of the top school in football every year aaaaand he will recieve a grerat education MANTI TE'O WILL SIGN WITH USC no matter where his cousins play. If they wanted to all play together why didn't Manti stay and play at Kahuku? [/quote]
So what you related? You still didn't say how you know. As for the "bubbles" you insinuated that he is so caught up in himself that USC is where he will go because it would be beneath him otherwise. First, he doesn't have a big head. But if he did, his dad and mom would have deflated it a long time ago. What you fail to understand is that just because USC offers a scholarship to a Samoan/Hawaiian it doesn't mean that is where he is going automatically. Pete boy is a good salesman but I think Manti can see through the smoke. Like you said, "If Pete Carroll can go back on his word". I also think you don't give enough credit to the other experiences that BYU offers. They will weigh heavily on him as well. As for playing with his cousin's, I will take the words from his mouth rather than from your keyboard. He said he wants to play with all his cousins and so that will be a deciding factor. As for Kahuku, I love the school and I bleed RED RAIDER blood, but if you compare the advantages of Punahou to Kahuku (education wise) it is a no brainer. But on the flip side, if you think about it, if he was so caught up in getting the best D-1 offers, why would he leave Kahuku? Punahou is nothing compared to Kahuku when it comes to putting players into D-1 schools and then into the NFL. So then why choose USC over BYU for football when he already showed that he is more concerned about other things than just playing football? I think saying that HE IS GOING TO USC is still a bit premature. Until he makes a verbal or his dad or uncles tell me otherwise, I will say the Y has a great chance.

USC, "grerat education"? That's not what I've been hearing. Good Program? Yes. Good Location? Yes. Great education? aaahhh....
USC is one of the top schools in the country, much more highly regarded than BYU . . .
Although BYU is Ranked #1 in "Yield" at 79%, meaning If a school has a high yield (a large proportion of those admitted enroll), it means that the school is most likely very popular with a top reputation and that the students are highly motivated to go there. BYU is Ranked 79th over all in Best Schools to attend. where as USC is Ranked 27th over all although it's yield is around 32%. For what it's worth...

Wow! At #79, we're tied with the Banana Slugs of UC @ Santa Cruz. Unbelievable.

No I'm Not Related So Don't Act Like You Are.
First of all, tell me where I said he is so caught up with himself? Unless stated outta my own mouth please don't make accusations. I simply stated that he is a Humble & respectful individual so unless your definition of humble and respectful differs from the rest of the world you probbaly need to take your Kahuku education and turn it in for a Punahou one. Whether you talk to his Uncles, dad, or even if Manti says he wants to play with his cousins, just know that this is all a "FRONT."
I cover High school football on every island and I see and hear the happs of Hawaii football yet you who only lived hear what 6 yrs think you know the scoops just because you talk to his uncles. Second of all, percentage wise how many polynesian players can you think of that turned down a scholarship from USC to play elswhere or even BYU as a matter of fact? what does BYU have that he can't get at USC? and please don't tell me the church. I also had many friends who played at BYU and said that if they were to do it again they would've thought twice about picking BYU so what experiences are you talking about?
Pete Carroll has been honest to all the local players that he has recruited. Everybody from Maualuga to Havili has had tremendous amount of playing time if that's your concern but if your talking about changing his mind about his mission? no ah ah it ain't happening Pete Boy will let him serve his 2. Pete Boy knows the repercusions that he'd face if he went back on his word to a recruit.
Comparing BYU to USC is like comparing Southern Utah University to Florida, Apples to Oranges, Night to Day. Manti knows that he will serve his mission and graduate but if he wants to play in the NFL and learn from the best then USC is where he needs to go. And when it comes to The Army All American game when he has to make that annoucement and puts on that hat this is what you will probably hear, "I MANTI TE'O WILL BE PLAYING FOR COACH PETE CARROLL AND THE TROJANS OF USC !"
Then you'll know that when he was talking about playing with his cousins he probably meant for a flag football league or something li dat?
BY THE WAY CAN YOU TELL ME THE NAME OF THE "CLOWN" WHO REPRESENTS McDONALDS?
