This is a curious thing. I thought I remembered Bronco saying that he didn't recruit guys on a mission. I am sure this was a very difficult thing for everyone. I guess it is similar to the Brandon Bradley case.

I'm sure Mike Sanford is going to love this if Te'o decides to changes schools. He has already been quoted saying how unfar it is to be playing older more mature RMs at BYU.

In the article is says that Malosi wasn't really on the radar until Bronco visited Shiloah. Malosi had lived there and Shiloah's dad showed Bronco the highlights of Malosi's senior season which no one else really had. It also said how concerned Bronco was with distracting him on his mission. Malosi's parents were going to wait to tell him about the offer but Shiloah spilled the beans. I think Bronco did the right thing. Malosi is by his own admittance a BYU guy. He is one who slipped under the radar but will be a good recruit in his own right, not to mention the effect he will have on Manti.

I got the impression that it was Malosi's dad, Ephraim, that is really interested in the Y. Maybe he facilitated the offer by Bronco?

Also, it sounds like Ephraim is the real driving force for Malosi possibly leaving UNLV to play in Provo.

I'm predicting a Te'o quartet! Shiloah is already a coug, I believe Malosi will decide to be a cougar on his next P-day email to his folks, Manti is close to his fam and will decide to come the Y but I think he will go through the whole recruiting process and commit to the Y at an all american game (Have we ever had a player put on a BYU hat at an all-american game announcement ceremony?) And then I believe Levi Te'o will be given preferred walk-on status and possibly earn a scholarship down the road because though he may be small and need a little more speed in the 40, with the potential i've seen on his highlight film and the pedigree he comes from, as a preferred walk-on he would present little to no risk at all and definitely worth it...

I may be wrong on, but I think we will have the 4 headed monster of the Te'o cousins donning the Blue and White!

Would be nice to see the 3 Te'os on the same team but in all honesty, everybody in Hawaii knows that Manti Te'o will be playing for Pete Caroll and the USC Trojans. Hey but who knows he might be a cougar after all?

Malosi looks pretty good on this video. Hopefully he comes to BYU and brings along with him the real prize.

This sounds very similar to the Brandon Bradley deal. Brandon's mom contacted Bronco while Brandon was on his mission. She wanted him to go to BYU, even though he originially showed no interest. At that time Bronco made an offer to his mom, site unseen.
