Because Tim Duncan shot 4 3's all season- he shoots free throws almost as bad as Shaq- that was probably a 25% chance to go in. but that's not the question you should be asking.

The better question is why didn't Phoenix foul in regulation and overtime when they had a 3 point lead with seconds left each time. SA deserved the W but Phoenix gave it away.

Still the man is clutch...I wouldnt leave him open! I've seen Duncan hit a lot of shots from the top of the key so he is still very dangerous. And very valid point, They should have fouled...And they shouldnt have put the game winner in the hands of Boris Diaw!

Weinhardts are pretty good. I actually prefer IBC. Weinhardts is a bit too soft, no bite.

Duncan is awesome, even if boring. He is a freaking machine of efficiency.

Duncan was 0-4 from 3pt range during the season and 24-126 (19%) career. Leaving him open to cover more dangerous outside shooters was a reasonable gamble that didn't pay off. Tim Duncan may be a great player but he is not "clutch" from beyond the arc. Now if it was Larry Bird, I'd say cover him with two guys... but that's another story.
