I know they did not like (more like hate) the UNLV lifestyle/atmosphere, and compare USC to UNLV in lifestyle/atmosphere. I would be VERY surprised to see Manti go to USC. Just because Manti is at Punahou, doesn't mean he thinks he is "better" than his cousins that went to Kahuku and that he is too good for BYU.

But this is all about Malosi. BYU will get a gem if he accepts. I am stoked for Malosi. I was disappointed when he didn't get offered from BYU originally. He is the biggest reason that rest of the clan is as well known as they are. He was one of the featured players on ESPN's Timeless about Kahuku football. He even had a paper published by either the Honolulu Advertiser or Star-Bulletin I don't remember which. He is the oldest of the football cousins and has been a stalwart example of dedication, devotion, and values to the rest of the clan. Malosi is everything you can ask for in a leader and is in the exact mold of those players that Bronco is looking for.

This could go the opposite way too. Manti may say, you know I want to unique, I don't just want to be another Teo I want to be myself and not affiliated with anyone. But who knows...
Also, if he does sign with BYU I HOPE he doesn't do the whole TV thing, that is so ANTI-Bronco. Just fax it in like everybody else.

I just watched those Malosi highlights and now I hope he does accept the scholarship offer for when he comes back! Hes a great athlete, but the leadership he showed in that clip is that of a champion and that really stood out to me. He is a true warrior leading his team to battle, I'll take a team full of guys with heart like his any day. All of the Te'o boys seem to have a lot of heart and passion about the game. I hope they come to BYU and represent us, but no matter what, I wish those guys the best. They all seem like 100% class acts. I have nothin' but respect for them and they have definitely made their families proud!

I know you say that it is anti-Bronco, but my only thinking with that is there is some major national exposure for the All-American games! I'm sure bronco wouldn't mind landing Manti Te'o any way he could get him. If I was a recruit sitting at home and see a phenomenal LB and top 10 player in the nation put on a BYU hat at the All-American game then I would give BYU a serious look... Yet again my opinion, but don't you think if he had a captive national audience watching the All-American game and he put on the Y hat, that it would be good national exposure for BYU? I tend to think so...

Did you really watch that game when you were in high school though? I didn't know it existed when I was in high school . . . . I really don't think it has that much of an effect. I'd rather have him commit early.

You certainly watch that game if you are a recruited athlete or even if you are a college football fan interested in recruiting battles. IMO (and I know nothing about Manti) this season and the level of success will play a huge role in his decision.
