Ronald McDonald, right? Funny you should mention McDonald's, considering that's where Colt Brennan will end up this year without an NFL offer or a college degree. Lucky for him, he won't have any moral struggles when he checks the "No" on the line that asks him if he has a criminal record on the 1-page application.

As long as the 15-yr old assistant manager that does the hiring didn't catch the sad excuse for a performance in the Sugar Bowl (because, if he did, he would likely doubt Colt's ability to stay cool under pressue-and we all know that those 11:45 highschool student rushes can be quite demanding), Colt is set to do well at the Golden Arches.

I can see it now: "Congratulations, Colt, you're the newest member of the McDonald's team. Now go shave and try to come up with a good nickname for your tag-your's is a little weak. Plus, we don't want customers to know who you are-they'll be (justifiablly) afraid that you'll drop their food just like you repeatedly dropped the football against a team that actually had a full compliment of scholarships and understood why a team needs a defense."

If you really knew football you'd never make such an asinine comparison. Florida and USC are comparable programs. BYU is a top 15 program. SUU isn't even an FBS program. Whatever credibility you claim was destroyed with that inane comparison.

No I'm Not Related So Don't Act Like You Are.

First of all, tell me where I said he is so caught up with himself? Unless stated outta my own mouth please don't make accusations. I simply stated that he is a Humble & respectful individual so unless your definition of humble and respectful differs from the rest of the world you probbaly need to take your Kahuku education and turn it in for a Punahou one. Whether you talk to his Uncles, dad, or even if Manti says he wants to play with his cousins, just know that this is all a "FRONT."
I cover High school football on every island and I see and hear the happs of Hawaii football yet you who only lived hear what 6 yrs think you know the scoops just because you talk to his uncles. Second of all, percentage wise how many polynesian players can you think of that turned down a scholarship from USC to play elswhere or even BYU as a matter of fact? what does BYU have that he can't get at USC? and please don't tell me the church. I also had many friends who played at BYU and said that if they were to do it again they would've thought twice about picking BYU so what experiences are you talking about?
Pete Carroll has been honest to all the local players that he has recruited. Everybody from Maualuga to Havili has had tremendous amount of playing time if that's your concern but if your talking about changing his mind about his mission? no ah ah it ain't happening Pete Boy will let him serve his 2. Pete Boy knows the repercusions that he'd face if he went back on his word to a recruit.
Comparing BYU to USC is like comparing Southern Utah University to Florida, Apples to Oranges, Night to Day. Manti knows that he will serve his mission and graduate but if he wants to play in the NFL and learn from the best then USC is where he needs to go. And when it comes to The Army All American game when he has to make that annoucement and puts on that hat this is what you will probably hear, "I MANTI TE'O WILL BE PLAYING FOR COACH PETE CARROLL AND THE TROJANS OF USC !"

Then you'll know that when he was talking about playing with his cousins he probably meant for a flag football league or something li dat?

BY THE WAY CAN YOU TELL ME THE NAME OF THE "CLOWN" WHO REPRESENTS McDONALDS?

No, but I can tell who the "BIG MAC" is...

So you say he is humble and respectful then you say he is putting on a front? Hmmm... My simple Kahuku heducasion was not so bat. I'll point out where you implied it. When you wrote "everyone in Hawaii knows" you implied that it was obvious that if Carroll says come to USC that means you are so good that there is no way you would settle for BYU. The problem is that players don't settle for BYU. Many go there because there is no other school like it in college football. It is a unique experience and no matter what Petie does it will never have as big a spiritual impact as BYU. Yes I do say the church. Don't discount how important the church is to Mormon athletes. Years ago a player like Stanley and Iona would not have even been thought to give ANY consideration to playing at BYU. Now it makes them sick when trying to decide. And there is always a first so why not Manti? As for your friends that went to BYU and say they would go somewhere else, did they even see the field? Were they there when Bronco was there? And I find it hard to believe it was "many" friends unless many means two maybe three. If it was many tell me who. I will ask them. I know most of the poly's or their families that have played at BYU and I can ask them.

As for my time in hawaii, try about 20 years not six. At least my Kahuku ed allows me to count. BTW I am pretty close to the Te'o family. My son just got to choose his baseball jersey and guess what number he picked- #2. They have told me some things that I won't post because they are family. At the same time I refuse to butt in with Manti's decision and I am sure not going to say a thing when they tell me what he decides.
I also get the MCDonald's comment. You think you know a lot about me but a name doesn't give you the man behind it. I was a son in many Samoan, Hawaiian, and Tongan families and the Tapusoa's still call me the ugly Samoan. A term I hold near and dear to my heart. I understand the cultures because I lived them. Not because I watched them or read about them. That is why I still think Manti may choose BYU over USC. But you keep up with the rumors and I'll just wait for Manti to say for himself.

Do you even know what Imua means? Imua Hawai'i, Imua Pirates (c/o Uncle Doug), Imua Kahuku, Imua BYU.
I know you know who I am. I got the MAC ref. But you evidently don't know much about me since you think I was only there for six years. I still get some of the haps thats going on there. I am the only lolo walking the mainland from my family. I prefer to stay silent and wait for the proverbial horse to talk for himself. I may speculate but I don't make bold claims without any proof. I'm careful about word in the street because it isn't all it's cracked up to be. When I was there last, word on the street was that Foodland was trying to put IGA out of business.
BTW it is "UGLY Samoan" not "angry Samoan".
