I have to say that suns game was the worse officiating I have ever seen. I do hate the spurs but I am not a suns fan. Every call was going for the spurs it was knuckleheaded terrible.

Is this 2007? Oh wait, that was the Jazz vs. the Spurs in 07. I didn't dislike them but got the impression in 07 that somebody likes the Spurs a little better the other teams. I may be proven wrong if we have another Celtics/Lakers final.

The Spurs were called for 33 fouls and the Suns 27. The Suns shot 7 more free throws. Officials make bad calls both ways but most fans need Tivo and a little less homerism to know which ones are really bad calls.

The biggest foul of the suns series was trading away the best player on the team for a guy that people foul on purpose to gain an advantage. In this case the "hack a shaq" worked to perfection.

Calling fouls is only one part of officiating (there's the inverse: not calling fouls that actually happen, there's out of bounds, jump balls, travels, etc.) Anyway, how many of those Spurs fouls were intentional? In any case, I said the refs were terrible. I didn't say they were only terrible against the Suns. And I thought I made it clear that they had very little to do with the outcome of the series.

I like how everyone says the Suns would have won with Shawn Marion (note: I am a HUGE Shawn Marion fan) while conveniently forgetting that they lost to the Spurs WITH Shawn Marion last year and in 2005. All the "Yeah, but"s in the world don't change that, just like they don't change what happened this year.

I think the Suns need to keep D'Antoni and the current team together one more year (i.e. for a whole season).

The Mavs have now fired their head coach who amassed a win percentage of .735ish---the guy who openly opposed the geriatrics movement that brought Jason Kidd to town and ended the Mavericks tenure as a contender.

Here's to rebuilding!

Agreed, Mark Cuban is willing to take risks, but he doesn't know basketball. He overpaid Marquis Daniels after overachieving for half a season (finally dumped that salary on the Pacers), He let Steve Nash go , Paid a boatload for Erik Dampier (their Greg Ostertag), aside from inheriting Dirk; and Howard and Terry working out better than expected, he's done more harm than good with that team.

The problem is that they're not getting younger and Kidd is losing his value; while the Trailblazers, Lakers, are young and getting better every day.

I think he's probably a really good boss though, when you're winning. Their window might have closed, Dirk may never get a ring in big D.

Hasn't Kidd been accused of running a previous or other previous coaches out of town? I am not saying he did now, but it looks mighty suspicious that Johnson has such a great record, doesn't want to trade for Kidd and now he is GONZO....
