Generally speaking I am an eternal optimist. As some have said, looking at each game individually I can't see us NOT favored in any of them. Collectively, it takes a great team and a little luck to go undefeated. If I had to choose to go undefeated this year and get a BcS invite and then drop a silly game somewhere along the line next year, or have the reverse of that, I would take the latter option. I believe will will finish 11-1 or undefeated this season (barring significant injury) and undefeated next year when we add Jacobson back in the mix with Collie, Pitta, Hall, Unga, George, Chambers, etc. etc. etc! And at that point, we will become the first Non-BcS team to have the top three players from their team! (Hall, Unga, Collie in no particular order)

Why don't we schedule out OOC games all at home,then we can't lose on the road. Nevada did that to us this year by pulling out (note I would not pull that trick on anyone) .Another thing, maybe we should do the home and away series over three years instead of two. That way we won't play a team three times within a year like UCLA will be.

I think there was talk of playing NI and Utah State at the same time so they could garner an extra bye week in the middle of the schedule.

But, thankfully for us Cougar faithful, the Cougs are going to run through their schedule with a few close games but no losses.

This scenario, while horrible, would only cause me to need counseling if the win allowed the Utes to go to the BcS! Aaagh! The horror!
