Miller's stand reminds me of a friend who has since passed away. He and I enjoyed playing on the Ward basketball team, which of course was part basketball, part football, and a whole lot of whining and moaning about bad calls. One season he didn't come out to play. When I called him to come, he told me he had decided not to play anymore. He loved the sport, and the exercise, but didn't like how he felt about himself when he would get upset at the games, so he just quit. I admired him for that. Me, I just kept playing and whining.

Miller skipping Sunday games is HIS choice and his alone. Were not talking about a Church aposle, we are talking about the owner of the Jazz who is LDS. IMO he is in the spotlight. Go to the games and people will call mormans hypocrites(though there are plenty of mormons at the game)
I admire his choice and can't imagine how hard it is for him to do.

And to the person who spoke of him going on kjzz or ksl on sundays... PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ he is contracted to do that crap. How many of you got angy when Bronco or other BYu players went on Sportbeat????
Lets stop worrying about everyone else's lives a nd how holy they are and start looking at our own lives and what we can do to better them.

I thought that the article was very well written. Way to go Larry. I am glad to see that there are very few "Sunday Poliece" responding to this post imposing their personal feelsings about Sabath worship on Larry Miller and others.

For those strict Sabath observers out there wanting to dismiss my comments, I grew up in a family were we were not allowed to watch any TV on Sunday or play with friends.

I feel that Sabbath day worship is a very personal activity. Larry Miller should be commended for making a personal sacrifice to do what he feels is right. Anyone critical of him not making a greater sacrifice or not sacrificing other activities that they feel are equivalent or inappropriate are acting inappropriately in my opinion.
