It seemed for a while there that the Eagles were a team that I felt inclined to root for since they had the most BYU and Mormon connections, but I think the Dolphins may be taking that crown- I mean with Poppinga, Dennings, and Beck- along with Shawn Murphy from Utah State- and surely someone else that I'm missing- they are going to have a strong Miami First Ward football team :)

Hawaii's Samson Satele and Davone Bess are the other two.

I also have tendency to root for whichever NFL team has the most/ highest profile BYU players. which my explain why my interest in the NFL had been waning, but Miami now has my attention; Although, I do expect there to be more competition for my allegience in the coming years if you know what I mean.

There are no teams that I owe my allegience to due to geographical reasons. I was allied with the Niners during the Steve Young era, but lost interest due to several of their personel moves, ultimately when they completely wasted the #1 pick in the draft on Alex Smith they completely fell by the wayside, talk about a bone headed move. Philadelphia was there for a while, but not so much any more.

Also receiving Kudos:
Green Bay (Brady Poppinga)
Pittsburgh (already mentioned)
New York Giants (for obvious reasons)
and until recently Indianapolis with Rob Morris, (probably one of my favorite all time BYU players.)I can understand why the Colts let him go, but it does still cut the tie.

Just when you thought it was safe to let go of the Eagles:

Nothing too exciting, but maybe he will suprise.

P.S. I don't know what Morris is up to.

Nice find & good luck to him.

I don't think Rob Morris has been picked up...or even will be. He had a lot of injuries during his years with the Colts. Damaged goods. That is too bad, I loved that guy...and still have one of those wooden 'Freight Train' whistles that they gave out at LES during his senior year.
