He's a 6-10 senior from Lone Peak. He plans on serving a mission before his freshman year.

A recent ranking of high school prospects since the Kingwood AAU Tournament in Houston shows several BYU prospects have climbed the evaluation ladder. Salt Lake Metro recently completed play at the Houston Kingwood Classic. The Houston Kingwood Classic is considered to be one of the top national tournament and is attended by hundreds of college coaches. There were 261 age 17 and under teams from across the nation competed. Four Salt Lake Metro players were selected to the Hoopscoop's ranking of the top 75 players in the Houston Kingwood Classic.

17) C. J. Wilcox, Jr. Pleasant Grove
26) Tyler Haws, Jr. Lone Peak
40) Corbin Miller, Fr. Brighton
58) Nate Austin, Jr. Lone Peak

Miller was the second highest ranked freshman. Wilcox the 11th ranked Jr., Haws was the 16th ranked Jr.

Austin, who just pledged to sign with BYU, is just starting to make the radar screen after a junior season in which he came off the bench.

Nate has posted an average double-double in these post-season game settings!

Austin sounds like the type of player and person BYU has been waiting for. Can't wait to see this guy play for the cougars. Any new info on Haws.

Does SLC metro not have a relationship with the Provo kids? Since when do Brandon Davies and Kyle Colinsworth not rank above Corbin Miller and Nate Austin?

Remember that Provo has beaten Lone Peak in the last two years. I think Davies is going to be a stud power foward at the next level and Collinsworth will be one of the best point guards in BYU history.

I'd love to see Haws pick BYU and I think we probably have the inside track on Corbin Miller; and who knows what CJ Wilcox will do, but Davies and Collinsworth are definately D1 caliber starters. Look no further than their wins over Lone Peak if you need proof.

Just a couple thoughts on Nate. I have played frequently with Nate and his dad Randy in Alpine. Nate is a great kid. Great attitude, hard worker. He is already very good and still has lots of room for improvement. He also shoots the 3 pointer really well. Not bad for a kid that's 6-10. I'm looking forward to the Cougars having him on the roster.
