A recent ranking of high school prospects since the Kingwood AAU Tournament in Houston shows several BYU prospects have climbed the evaluation ladder. Salt Lake Metro recently completed play at the Houston Kingwood Classic. The Houston Kingwood Classic is considered to be one of the top national tournament and is attended by hundreds of college coaches. There were
261 age 17 and under teams from across the nation competed. Four Salt Lake Metro players were selected to the Hoopscoop's ranking of the top 75 players in the Houston Kingwood Classic.
17) C. J. Wilcox, Jr. Pleasant Grove
26) Tyler Haws, Jr. Lone Peak
40) Corbin Miller, Fr. Brighton
58) Nate Austin, Jr. Lone Peak
Miller was the second highest ranked freshman. Wilcox the 11th ranked Jr., Haws was the 16th ranked Jr.
Austin, who just pledged to sign with BYU, is just starting to make the radar screen after a junior season in which he came off the bench.
