Trent is like AK47 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 11

Both are big players that had a great high in their career. Both got a little lazy, showed some attitude, and failed to progress, despite glaring weaknesses. Both became somewhat of a problem to their coach, and though each team would be a bit worse without them, each fanbase got to the point where they wouldn't be too sad to see them go. Though maybe some would rather compare Plaisted to Boozer instead of Kirilenko.

I like both guys. All three actually. But is that accurate to you? Or maybe not?

In my humble opinion Trent compared to Ak is kind of stretch. Athleticism wise you probably are right on the money. But Ak is a better defender then Trent and has a better offensive game. Ak actually improved his shooting. Ak was the jazz in 03-04 before Memo boozer and Williams came. they had a .500 record that year. Were within one game of making the playoffs. Ak had Arroyo Hapring, and Stevenson on that team. He will always have my respect for that. The next year the jazz got off to 6-1 start or something like that. then Ak got hurt. The jazz struggled even before boozer got hurt the same year. I think the utilized Ak's verstatility a lot more.
Anyways Trent is a very good athlete and doesn't have an outside game. Not yet. I wish trent the best. But Ak is a much better player then Trent. Ak was actually an all star once a upon a time.
In my opinion. Trent reminds me more of Hoffa then Ak. Both hoffa and trent can't shoot free throws, both don't shoot jumpers very well. Both are good rebounders, and decent defenders. With hoffa having an edge in that area. Both are pretty good at blocking shots. Trent I think is Hoffa but with more athleticism. And Hoffa was more of an enforcer. I really wish the jazz would have used him a year ago. Especially in the playoffs. Especially instead of collins. He's terrible. That's in my opinion.
I think trent will have a better career then Hoffa did. But i do wish trent would have stayed another year. But a possibility of going in the first round of the draft is hard to pass up.

AK is a better defender, shooter (close to 50% and 35% on 3's this last year), rebounder, passer, has a better basketball IQ, can handle the ball better (in the famous game where Fisher came back from New York and the Jazz were dealing with foul trouble with Williams and an injury to Dee Brown, AK was the point guard and he kept them in the game), works harder (aside from last year), is more versatile (look at what he did for Russia last summer) and is a better athlete. All this, and he is just 2 inches shorter than Trent, and weighs about the same.

Trent's body type and athletic ability would almost dictate that he would be a small forward in the NBA, not a power forward, but Trent doesn't have the shot to play the 3. He can't guard LeBron or Kobe with any success (Kirilenko at least makes them make amazing shots, which they are able to do). Trent will not be nearly as successful or valuable to any team as AK.

I think after this past year, Jazz fans have come to accept Andrei again.

YES! Frustration, because both have so much... potential. Though neither inspires as much frustration as did Ostertag

I don't want Trent to be like an AK47. I want him to be like a (*#&$*^% Abrams Tank on steroids!!!!
