NBA similar to WWF 3 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 50
Fake and ridiculous! Many have posted about the jazz and lakers games, how the refs gave them a couple of those games, I'm upset about how the refs and NBA gave the lakers the last series against the spurs as well. The NBA is all about thugs, euro floppers, refs, and $. There is no soul in the NBA admin. Many players have it, and it's fine if people find hero's there, but how can a managed system that purposefully places paths for teams that have the largest fan-base be other than a fiction-fake stupid wwf series? The calls made just proves who they want to see...lakers-celtics. When they finally get that match-up: arbitrary calls...that's when it's fine to be fair. What a bunch of bull. If i wanted cheap crap like that i'd watch fox network shows such as american idol, so you can dance, and the local news,I wish the jazz carried on, but the lakers were ultimately better-just to prove i'm not being irrational-but the spurs foul was definetely there. that's ridiculous and makes wwf look good. Until something changes i won't and several others i'm sure will watch/attend other things that are real and not determined by the worst run business in america-the nba...getting this off my mind is worth the dip in karma

The tone set during the Jazz's first two games with the Lakers had a funny smell to it. Koby went to the free throw line something like 23 times in the first game and 40+ times in the first TWO games combined. Then he went to the line about 6 times total in the first three games against San Antonio. Perhaps this is why the USA can't win international titles anymore...... The superstar doesn't get the calls that they are used to getting. Stockton always believed in the "conspiracy" theory and maybe he was onto something. I just can't believe that there is that much difference between San Antonio and Utah........

This is why I stick with college sports (especially basketball). I'm sure it gets in there as well (see any thread on BCS) but not to the level we see in Pro's.

This is peanuts compared to the fines that the league hands out for free speech. The league can fine you for pretending to take a foul but you can't even voice your opinion otherwise. If I were a player in the NBA I would sue the league the minute they fined me for critizising the officiating. The league should fine itself for saying that there should have been a foul called.

perhaps this rant was a latent underlying issue for myself in regards to the college football system and expressed it that way, either way all sports i suppose have both strengths and weaknesses...some just P me off more than others

I stopped paying much attention to the NBA when I realized that it doesn't hold a candle to the passion and excitement of NHL players and fans during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. I highly recommend checking out Stanley Cup hockey (if you can find Versus on your TV service!).
