This has nothing to do with this post, but I promised myself to bad mouth DirecTV customer service at every opportunity I get. I'm stuck because I want The Mountain, but my transition from Dish to DTV was horrible. I would never recommend DTV (unless you want The Mtn) </rant>
As much as I want the MTN, I simply won't switch my Dish to DirectTV. I've had the dish since August of 2002. The service and picture quality has been superb (and this from a broadcast professional) as compared to Comcast for sure.
I'm still holding out for a Dish deal, and going to a relatives if I have to see the MTN. There is no way I want to deal with Direct TV, and I agree with splitbamboo on that for sure.
