Jray Galeai The Most Talented Recruit of 2009 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: -38
With all the talks of Manti Te'o who is the best player that will come out of Hawaii in 2009, I just wanted to let you Cougar Fans know how fortunate you are to have Jray Galeai fully committed to becoming a Cougar.
Last year Jray Galeai played qb and has yet to play a full complete game as a defensive back at Kahuku, infact during his tenure at Timpview he mostly played outside linebacker and occasionally as a safety.
Then why did Bronco offer him a full ride to BYU? Well that's because he's the most talented all around athlete to come out of Hawaii in years. Not only is he the best basketball player in the State of Hawaii but he can play any skilled position on the football field which is why every BIG-12, PAC-10, MWC, and WAC school is drooling and beggin for his services. Jray will remind you Cougar Fans of Aaron Francisco, humble, smooth & aggressive with a little more talent. He can come in and start as a freshmen but will opt to go on a mission prior to dawning the Blue & White. So on letter of intent day when things don't go as you wish with Manti, just know that you already have someone who is equal his talent and will be a name that you'll remember and never forget, JRAY GALEAI!

I have to be honest, as I scour the internet for clips of our recruits to pass this slow offseason, I cannot find anything on the dude. I have heard things similar to what you have said about him, but wish I could see some of this athletic ability.

Thanks for the head's up anyhow. Oh, and by the way, I am able to sound out most polynesian names and whatnot as a result of several good poly friends' patience over the years, but how exactly do you pronounce this kid's first name? Is it "Dray" (like Dr. Dre) or some other variation?

Anyway, thanks again for the post and thanks in advance for the phonics lesson...cheers.

Manti chose to attend only 2 camps this summer......BYU and the All Poly - both in Utah.

There's a chance he may be playing with 3 other Teos at BYU .....and a guy that good.... can distinguish himself aywhere, he doesn't need USC.

In the case of Manti, the longer he waits to commit, the more time we have to run off our perfect season.

Add in th fact that the top junior qb in the nation is not only leaning towards BYU, but he's positioned to commit this summer... I think we'll get Mantis attention.

I'm glad to hear that Jray is as talented as Bronco thought. Every early commit in the last few years to BYU has been a homerun...this doesn't seem to be any different.

FYI: Forecasting anything after your Rainbows got assaulted in the Sugar Bowl carries little weight right now.

That's good to know that Jray is that good. Isn't every player at Kuhuku amazing though?

Jray may be the 3rd best recruit of the coming class, as of right now.

BYU is no Hawaii, where any 2-star player could be our recruiting class' headliner.
