A recent article posted on another anonymous cougar (fan) site indicated with the new PAC-10 comissioner about to takeover BYU and Utah might be invited to join the conference. WHat are some of your thoughts or preferences? Personally, I think the MWC is perfect for BYU especially if the MWC makes the correct expansion decisions, like adding Fresno St or Nevada or Houston or all three.
I think BYU would have a tougher time getting their typical winning record in the PAC-10. Plus, anyone remember how rude the UNLV fans were to BYU during the end of the last basketball season. Well, expect similar treatment from Standford and Cal and all the other PAC-10 schools. The MWC schools for the most part respect BYU, the PAC-10 won't. BYU will recieve much more exposure and be much more hated (that includes anti-mormom chants at games.)
Additionally, I think there is a trend in favor of the mid-majors right now. Most people dislike the BCS system and want a playoff,,even BCS members. It's just a matter of time before the MWC will get their due credit and benefits. So, long story short, even if invited to the PAC-10, maybe BYU should stay in the MWC.
