What a lyin' sack of turtles. Boise state didn't win that game as much as BYU lost it. BS's coach had to be nervous. That was a chip shot field goal, and he had to be worried about it -- it sure looked like he was, and the crowd was awfully quiet for much of the game. I hope Fresno State humbles them and reminds them that they're from Boise.

I think it is funny you say that! A chip shot? It was 38 yards remember. It isn't a chip shot for more than half the place kickers in the NCAA!! I think it is funny, because Matt Payne is so automatic it makes us think that 38 yards is just a "chip shot"!

You sir, are an idiot. "real kickers would have made that field goal"?!?!?!? What is Matt Payne, swiss cheese? Matt payne is one of the top kickers in the NATION, he is THE top kicker in the MWC. He just blew it, he even admits that he blew it. Matt Payne will be kicking field goals in the NFL for a long time, I don't think that he would be able to do that if he wasn't a "real kicker".

Even though it makes me nervous to agree with anyone on this forum, I agree that Matt Payne is one of the best kickers in the country. You would have to be a moron to think otherwise.

I have another theory on why he missed that field goal. I think he rung his own bell on the second hit on the BS return man. His eyes looked a little glassy when he was running off the field.

This forum is not nearly as much fun as it used to be. You people are so busy smacking each other, you have forgotten about smacking us Utah fans. We miss you. We're feeling neglected. I personally hope your team down south wins a few games so you can get back to trashing us.

The one thing missing from this rivalry is that very seldom to these teams meet with the conference championship on the line for both teams. Utah has pretty much sucked for the last 30 years, and that team down south sucked for the 50 years before that. I would love to see both teams undefeated when they play in November every year. Then we can have some serious smack.
