I just have one question for you raiderboy... is it your opinion that I am not welcome here in the forum simply because I see the BYU glass half empty right now (actually, it's more like 3/4 empty) and have correctly predicted their start of 1-3? That is the impression I get from you. I think you had also better do your homework a little more before following up my posts with your two cents worth. Why?

1. I lied about my BYU-USC prediction huh? FYI... I changed my 48-9 prediction for the USC game to 38-9 before last Saturday owing to the altitude factor.
2. If being delusional means that you're pretty accurate with forecasting the outcomes of football games, then yes, I am delusional.
3. Better re-check my BYU-CSU forecast... I said 27-17, not 24-14.

Come on raiderboy... post with substance, not with the empty, accusatory ramblings of a disgruntled Y fan and re-check my previous posts so you get them right next time so I don't have to correct you.

BARNEY: EVERYONE IS STILL GETTING THEIR CAGE RATTLED
BY AIRWOLFE. I DO THINK HE IS RIGHT ABOUT THE REMAINDER OF
THE SEASON. I THINK BECK IS GETTING BETTER AND THE PASSING
GAME IS STARTING TO FUNCTION PRETTY GOOD, BUT YOU CAN'T BE
ONE DIMENSIONAL AND EXPECT TO WIN MANY GAMES. IF BYU HAD A
DECENT RUNNING GAME, THEY WOULD BE AT LEAST 2-2 AND READY FOR A RUN AT THE CONFERENCE TITLE. FACT IS THEY DON'T. EVERYBODY HAS GAME FILMS AND KNOWS ALL THEY CAN DO IS PASS.
BOISE STATE DID NOT HAVE A GOOD DEFENSE AND DOES NOT BELONG
IN THE TOP TWENTY BECAUSE OF IT. THEY STILL HELD BYU TO 27 POINTS WITH THE PASSING GAME CLICKING BIG TIME. BOMBS AWAY
ISN'T GOING TO WIN 7 OUT OF 7 EVEN IN THE WEAK MWC. IT MIGHT
WIN 3 AND MAYBE 4 BUT YOU CAN'T EXPECT WATKINS TO BAIL THEM OUT EVERY TIME WITH OVER 200 YARDS. THE RUNNING BACK LOSS WAS ENORMOUS AND WILL MAKE FOR ANOTHER LOSING SEASON.
IF UTAH LOST THEIR ACE AT QB, THEY WOULD BE IN DEEP DO DO.
THE COUGARS SIMPLY CAN'T MAKE UP FOR THE LOSS UNLESS
THEY FIND SOMEBODY WHO CAN RUN THE BALL. WHY NOT TRY MR.
HUDSON, HE HAS TO BE LIGHT YEARS BETTER THEN THE PRESENT DUO.

Believe me Barney, if Ray Hudson was the answer to BYU's running game problems, Crowton would be playing him. You guys may believe that Crowton is inept but he is also fighting for his job and will play the players that he believes will give him the best chance to win. If Ray Hudson was tearing up the defense in practice with his running game, he would be playing on the weekends. My feeling is that Hudson just isn't ready yet, he didn't get into practice until a couple of days before fall camp and is, I am sure, still learning the offense. There is a lot more to being a running back then simply getting a hand off and running into a hole in the line or trying to get around the corner on the edge, he needs to learn the blocking schemes so he can help protect Beck from blitzes on passing downs, he needs to learn where the holes in the line are going to be on running plays so he can hit them at full speed. Have patience, this kid is supposed to be good and will contribute in the future, just not yet.

Airwolf... Those were all direct quotes from you. Some of them were from the same string. Show me the string where you changed your USC prediction. I thought I had read all of them and I never saw it. I cant believe you're telling me to post with substance when they are all direct quotes. You also never answered my question about who your favorite team is since it obviously isnt BYU. Yes I was wrong about your CSU prediction. You said 27-17, my memory failed me. I'm sorry that I said 24-14 since its much much different. And you are wrong about that by the way. No way we lose that game barring an injury or some major turnover troubles.

Also its nice how you sidestepped the fact that you predicted we'd lose to Boise by 21 points as I pointed out in my completely factual post. Yet you contend that you are right because we're 1-3. I never said anything about you predicting us to be 1-3... I only said that your predictions on the scores, as per my direct quotes by you, were wrong in favor of the other team. If I missed that you changed your USC prediction I apologize, what string did that take place on? And dont forget... I'd really like to know who your team is!

BSU is definately over-rated, but that doesn't mean they're crappy, either. There's a lot of positives that can come from this last game. Namely the fact that BYU overcame a 16-0 deficit in a hostile environmnet to come back and really take it to Boise State the rest of the way out.
I think a major concern everyone has is that at the first sign of trouble BYU seems to crawl into the fetal position and quit. This was a major step for a struggling program. Credit Gary Crowton for finally getting his team ready to play.
Did anyone else notice the big "Goose Egg" in the turnover department? Very encouraging. The point is is that BYU stands a chance of making some waves in the MWC now. BSU may not have a great defense, but it's hard to argue that their offense sucks. Our defense shut them down. Name one team in the MWC that is as potent as BSU (Utah aside) offensively-there isn't one.
It may just be that Beck to Watkins or Collie will be enough to make a stink in the wimpy MWC.

BYU, Wyoming, Utah, CSU, etc.....the great WAC has your number!!! Top WAC programs have proven over the last couple of years to be a notch above the MWC. Your Cougs have had a chance to stake their claim as being superior to any WAC team over the last several years!!! However, Bosie State and Hawaii have proved to be to tough of a task for one of the elite MWC teams.

Bosie has far more weapons on offense versus Beck to Watkins. Geez, your punter tackles better then most of the Defensive starters!!! Too bad he missed that field goal, if Bosie played their game, it wouldn't have mattered in the end. Early in the game, it was almost DEJA VU with Hawaii again. Gosh, after that slaughter in Hawaii, BYU has never been the same.

The big Crow needs to go. Bring in Chow now!!! USC for the National Championship!!! Mark my words Cougarville.
