So far as of today BYU has played the hardest schedule in the nation. This based off the USA-TODAY power rankings that the BCS did use.

Id say as far as the Program goes its time to start thinking about change. But we do need to Give him a chance over the next 4 games. If they don't win 3 of the next four I think its time to make the change. And if they lose this next week big + 18 points, I'm for pulling the plug now.

Otherwise lets give him a chance. This team does need time to adjust to new players. And why have we not seen this suppose great running back yet?

Thanks,
Tyler

Two words: offensive line. BYU has no running game because the offensive line is still not blocking well. I didn't get to see the game on TV but the radio announcers kept harping on the fact that the offensive line seems to block for a second and then fall down on running plays. They commented on that a bunch of times. BYU needs a better running game to become a complete team but it will still probably take some time to let the offensive line develop. I just hope that they can use the deep ball to win games until that happens.

On another note. Why are we all calling for Crowton to get fired right now? He deserves a chance to save his job, if he has another losing season, he WILL be fired, he may get fired any way. I feel however, that if Crowton has a 7 win or better season then he deserves to keep his job.

For a 7 win season, we have to go 6-1 in conference. If we go 6-1 in conference then I will retrack my statements about Crowton being fired. That would be evidence of a turnaround. A turnaround is all I want. I have no personal vendeta against Crowton, just losing.

Our schedule has been brutal. We can turn it around in conference, but it is going to take coaching.

Or if he goes 6-5 and win's a bowl game for a 7 win season I wouldn't mind that either. I think that it is only fair that Crowton get to try to save his job, let him coach his recruits this year and see if they show improvement. I think that he has an exciting offense but has been scared to call his plays for 2 year because of lack of talent and lack of confidence in whether the players will execute his plays. With some experience at QB this year and other surrounding talent on offense, we could be in line for an offense that is closer to what 2001 was then 2002 or 2003.

After watching the BSU game, I am actually looking forward to conference play. Especially given the fact that there really aren't any good teams in the MWC outside of those *$%@ Utes. Crowton coached a great game and BYU outplayed BSU, we just gave the game to them at the end. If we had any bit of a running game, I think we could go 6-1 in conference play. Where have you gone Ray Brathwaite????

Umm.... do you really want an answer to that question? We probably have some "highlight films" somewhere...
