What a great guy! I love the guy and look forward to the next four years with him! Wow! One thing that prompts me to write this is the encouraging words about the season. He said...

"It's a new season. Those first four games were just like a pre-season and now we have a new season to look to in the conference."

I felt good about that. I normally tend to look for NATIONAL affection and rankings as success, and think less about MWC championship. I want that BIG bowl game and BYU Cougar ESPN highlights. But, after what Todd Watkins said...I can sit back and think a bit more clearly at the obstacle ahead and the GOAL for BYU Football!

We have a 0-0 now, and we only want the MWC Champion title getting the Liberty Bowl bid! Nothing else! Honestly, BYU can do it and I am even MORE excited for the ride seeing their game come together at BSU finally after a long sabbatical! GO COUGS!!

He's around for two years if the NFL doesn't come calling. He's a redshirt Junior.

I was wondering about that. He says he is here for the schooling and I wasn't sure how long of schooling he had left. Redshirt junior? Ok. So, technically he is a Junior this year?

I don't care if he couldn't speak at all, Watkins will do all the important talking on the field.

I would hardly make implications that Todd Watkins isn't an articulate person! No no.

He is an intelligent guy. Did he have alot to say on every question posed him that night. Not really. I too wished he would have said more than. "Win." --awkward pause-- "Just win." But, seriously...that wasn't a sign of lack of intelligence. He didn't have much to answer that question with.

It seems we have someone in every category. Hope we get more votes. I am curious what the majority of the people here think. BTW, I was the single vote for 7-0. I TRULY believe that BYU can go 7-0! I am going to name some conditions here just because I know my team really struggles to win under certain conditions. So,

If BECK stays healthy:

BYU 7-0 undeafeted conference season. Great win against Utah in November!

if BECK gets injured and BERRY stays healthy:

BYU 6-1 with a struggle against the team that injures BECK and a loss to Utah.

if BECK, and BERRY get hurt and JASON BECK plays:

BYU 5-2 with wins against UNLV, WYOMING, COLORADO STATE, AIR FORCE and NEW MEXICO.
