And why don't we go to the tight ends more often? It's because Beck throws to his first read every time, which isn't the tight end, he lacks experience that way. It's the ONE area where Berry is better. Also, I think that the reason we did so well against BSU is because their secondary is crap. Oregon State's wide recievers went bananas on BSU's secondary three weeks ago. Going to Watkins deep was our only chance to open things up and win the game. I don't think it will work against every foe like people are saying. Until we can have confidence in our running game we will never be worthy of a W.

BYU's running game is pathetic but it will improve. Especially if Beck keeps hitting on those deep balls. They will have to move some people out of the box to double up on our Wide outs. The offensive line is still very young and isn't blocking very good but if Grimes is worth his money, and I think that he is, the offensive line will get better. I expect BYU to be able to run this week since they are going to be playing against a defense that is young AND beat up. If BYU gets a win this week, they get to play 2 of the most pathetic teams in the nation at home and by that time I would expect the running game to have improved a lot. With some confidence they could be a good match for Utah in the last game of the year. (and I hope they win 70-0 against the utes.)
