When Max Hall threw it to the ground, was that just a misread or just a terrible throw?quote]

I hope Max Hall wasn't there today, if so he was playing in the body of Kurt McEwan, and he violated NCAA transfer rules and will have to sit out next season...

Sorry, couldn't help myself... Hall doesn't arrive on campus until August.

I thought it was a great game, it is always good to see some Football especially BYU. The offense wasn't as hot, it seemed that Jason Beck was doing more than John. But I know John will show up big this fall. I just thought it was funny to see so many starters on the sideline i.e. Brian Kehl, and Cameron Jensen. I guess they want to see what others can prove.

I enjoyed it a lot. The defense looked really good today, but who knows how they really are. I have to admit that the highlight video they showed from last season sure got me all hyped up. But then I got settled into my seat and realized that all this stuff we've heard about another 2001 season and ''the best offense I've seen'' was really just hype. I hope I'm proven wrong though.

I especially liked how they let all the fans out onto the field. That was almost surreal to me and my son. He was able to get quite a few autographs and had a gin from ear to ear. That's one of the things I enjoy most about BYU football, the family aspect of it all.

In my opinion Tico Pringle played the best defensively of any defensive player. I know that he played against the twos mostly, but he broke up several pass plays and on the one play that they completed a ball in front of him he closed fast and had by far the best tackle of the day just leveling the receiver. I know I have seemed like a Tico homer but I see something in this kid that makes me think he will be a special player for BYU. I do not know nearly as much as the coaches, but maybe he is a better gamer than practice player. That is what they used to say about Doman.

The story of the day really was the defense, I was quite impressed by how in position the secondary was, and how quickly they closed. You can tell there has been a lot of fundamentals being taught.
