I went to the Miami Herold and I was looking a the fans reaction to drafting Beck. There initial reaction to not drafting Quinn was very harsh. But they where extremely positive towards Beck. Most had a lot of good things to say about Beck and most figure he will be there starting QB by years end. One fan even thought Beck would be the starter by week 6.

I read this article as well and found it baffling that they (media) keep making comments about Beck's arm strength. I guess we have to chalk it up to uneducated and uninformed media and journalists. Seriously, Beck throws a 61 mph ball at the combine, good for second and yet everyone says he has a weak arm...what gives??? Oh, and the comment that he "has an affinity for the underneath passing game" do they not realize that is an offensive philosphy, not a personal preference? Even still, Beck is really good at the underneath patterns. But we all know that he could air it out to Watkins with relative ease as well. With Ginn in the lineup in Miami I can see a play-action pass from Beck to Ginn for a long touchdown. I've loved Ginn since the first time I watched him play. The dude has some wheels, and Beck has an arm. It should make for a nice marriage in Miami.

First just remember- their defense is old and not that good.

*chokes* Excuse me!?! How is the 4th ranked defense in the NFL "not that good?" And I find it funny that people are still parroting the whole "their defense is old" line when Jason Taylor just had his season ever (Defensive Player of the Year and 1st Team All Pro), as did Zach Thomas (also 1st Team All Pro and some award I can't remember the name of that basically means he's one of the league's elite LBs.) Oh, then there're Joey Porter and Channing Crowder, who are by no means slouches. In short, Miami has the best front seven in pro football.

Btw, as you're now finding out, the Miami media has a bad habit of printing the worst possible statements about Fins players irregardless of their accuracy. Don't take it personally, they're jaded by nearly a decade a poor performance after having the pleasure of watching the the best QB to ever play the game in a Fins uniform for nearly two decades.
