Whitt, you lost my respect, and now you have nothing. Please don't ask for it back. I even let you have my respect after the 2005 BYU game when you and your team stayed on the field with your band celebrating through the blanket ceremony. That really pissed me off back then...but I still felt you deserved to have my respect.

As much as I think Coach Glenn deserved to get spanked in the game, to have Utah do it the way they did speaks volumes on the values of their team and coaching staff. It's not enough to win games. They need to teach the other team a "lesson." I just watched the youtube posting and agree with the title: sportsmanship fest. Neither team did that very well. Probably only Glenn will get fined for the ol' one-finger salute but Whittingham has to live with the stink of being a sore-winner for the rest of his career. This will come up every year they play into perpetuity, just like Beck to Harline will come up every year.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! It's interesting how Joe Glenn appears to be the classy one during the post game interview. Dimwitt, I just lost ALL respect for you. It's crazy that in one breath he talks about RESPECT your opponent then he kicks a FREAKIN' onside kick in the third quarter up 43-0. That's personal and disrespectful. His comments about holding people accountable. Did he hold, his defensive player who said "The domanator, he's gonna get dominated" accountable? I don't remember a suspension or a public reprimand. What a hypocrite!!!!I understand not wanting to call off the dogs in the 3rd quarter, but just run your offense and defense, and you'll be just fine up 43-0. If you need outside factors to "get up" for a game, such as the "guarantee", it makes you wonder what kind of motivational leader he is. The players were pretty riled up about it as well. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad he turned us down and we had to "settle" with Bronco!!!!

He's asking people to be responsible for what they say?!? It's now his job to bring justice to those to say disrespectful things?!? This is coming from the guy who said he had the best quarterback situation in the country last year and that CSU was the best 1-loss team in the country. First the article about him recruiting Unga and how he badmouthed BYU after Unga changed his mind, and now this.
I hope this gets national media. This is disgusting poor-sportsmanship and it deserves to be recognized.

This reminds me of a situation that Bronco Mendenhall was in last year. Before the Las Vegas Bowl, Oregon coach Mike Bellotti made some comments about how BYU could not even compete with a mid-level PAC-10 team. To me, this is similar "disrespect" that Joe Glenn showed for Utah. Kyle handled his situation by taking offense and exacting revenge and coming off as classless. I was impressed with how Bronco handled his similar situation last year:

"...it has no bearing on (how) I view coach Bellotti or the respect I have for him and their program. As far as I'm concerned it didn't change how we prepared, how we were motivated and it didn't impact the game at all. I think we played very well and I'm not concerned really what others say about our program."


Just another reason why I am happy that we got Bronco instead of Kyle.

Exactly that is an awesome example! I think what belotti said last year was more of a slap in the face then What Coach Glenn said! But it definately shows the character between the two coaches! That's for sure. Kyle is Urban Meyer junior. Congrats Kyle! You just became that Classless!
