I'll get up for it by game time, but you have to be disappointed that we go 10-2, win the MWC, are ranked 19th and we face a team that is barely bowl eligable. It is just stupid. We deserve better in all fairness to our players and coaches. Our reward for being a good team is that we play a crap team.

I would have rather played Utah, Navy, Boise St., UCF, and a host of other teams, before UCLA. It will be over at half-time luckily and I can catch the early flight back to Orlando. Anyone catch the fact that Kevin Smith at UCF has the 2nd best rushing season EVER, and possibly will pass Barry Sanders with the bowl game? 3rd best season was Marcus Allen and 5th was Ladanian T.; not bad company. Under the radar of course.

The day will come when someone figures out a way to market a boycott of the BCS to the segment of the population that needs to hear it, and ratings/revenues will be blown out of the water. That's what it will take. Until then, we just feed the fat hog by watching the games.

I agree!!! I like the idea of a legit 2 out of 3 and now it will be a level playing field without the PAC-10 Refs to screw the game for us in either of the next two games.

I think it only bodes well for us to prove that we actually should have beat them in LA!

Plenty of time to heal and showcase our star sophmores (hall, unga, TE-3-some, collie) now that they have had a year experience together.

Look at it this way. Since the only thing that matters is wins (Hawaii). We can use this game to springboard into next season with the longest winning streak in the nation. (Hawaii will lose of course)

Lets take it for whatever it is worth. However little that is.

You guys, it's really simple. The Pac-10 is trying to get the best Bowl record possible. They knew that whoever they sent to Vegas was a loss, so they were just mitigating the bloodletting.
They assumed (and correctly) that Cal has a better shot at Air Force than UCLA does, so they decided to make UCLA their only definite Bowl loss this year. Sucks to be us, but definitely sucks to be them worse.

A conference championship and our prize a 6-6 UCLA team. Way to go Commisioner Thompson, almost as impressive as your tv deal with the Mtn.
