First I want to Say Congrats to Bronco and the Cougars. Who would have thought that replacing Beck, Coats and Brown, we would go 10-2 (hopefully 11-2) this season. Max exceeded my expectations by far and the team looks great for the next few years... Great recruiting by Bronco, and great plan to reload the program. Also who would have thought that with 2 losses we would be part of the BCS discussion right up to the end... That is a big statement about how BYU is doing. BYU is heading in the right direction and this season was great-- Congrats to Bronco, his staff and the whole team!


And now my side as a fan-- First-- I am SO HAPPY that I got to sit in LES and watch 6 wins this season... I have NEVER attended a loss, and I don't know how I would handle that. LES is a great place to be a fan, and I LOVE watching the team play.I have been treated to two years of great football at home and I see no signs of that changing any time soon.

I am happy that we not only have one more game left (I wish it was more-- I could watch BYU football year round. ) but we get a chance to PROVE that UCLA's win in the regular season was part fluke, and part the bad refs... After one day I am already sick of the ANNOYING radio personalities bemoaning the fact that BYU is "only in the LV bowl" and only playing UCLA again... When the season started we knew the LV bowl was the most likely scenario-- and many here were saying we would be lucky to even get that... And I already stated that I am excited that we can take care of business against UCLA this season... We better come out all fired up and take it to UCLA... we need to make a statement for next year, now that we know how good we are.

Anyway-- during the off season I would kill for a BYU football game against anyone... We are repeat MWC champs, double undefeated conference schedules and have one of the hottest teams in the country. This season was great, and everything is looking up from here---

I don't know who these supposed fans are that keep calling in and complaining are, but I know that my friends, family and myself are excited that BYU is playing another game and that we get to enjoy it. GO COUGARS!!! Let's go Bear hunting!

Of course we are all excited about the team and 100% behind Bronco. I couldn't be happier about the direction of the team. But as fans we have "risen the bar", and although we all knew that the LV bowl was where we would likely end up we now expect more then playing a team with a 6 and 6 record. Go Cougs...Go Bronco...Destroy UCLA...Please Santa, bring me a bowl opponent with at least an 8 and 4 record for Christmas next year.

Regardless of Record, UCLA is UCLA... when we beat them, some people might say UCLA was down, or this and that- but for long term and respect to the program, beating UCLA means something...
I would rather have BYU Beat a 6-6 UCLA than a 10-2 BSU, or an 8-4 USF...
The current system is all about perception-- next season the Media will be singing UCLA's praises and talking about how great they will be... if we have a win over them under our hat-- and then take it to them at LES-- it all looks good. and perception is everything.

I admit, I was disappointed at first that we would play UCLA again. As I have thought about it, I am getting more excited to play the Bruins again. As Yutka said, we can prove that we are the better team and that we should have won in the Rose Bowl. We need the momentum going into next season and could use a win over a BCS opponent to help us in preseason rankings.

And more importantly, we can also prove that Yewtah's win over UCLA was an even bigger fluke than our loss. A win will shut up the Pukes in their attempt to feel better about their season....I'm so tired of hearing, "at least we beat UCLA."

I failed to add my congratulations to the team and coaches for a wonderful year. This was my first year as a season ticket holder and it was great!

The team exceeded expectations and I am so impressed with Bronco as our coach. If I had a dollary for every time I said, "I am so glad Kyle stayed at Utah" I could quit my job!

BYU is back and I can't wait to be in LES next season.

We've come a long way since the Crowton debacle. (an unpleasant but fading memory) In 2005 the cougars were 2 plays away from an 8 win season. Last year they won 11 and made believers out of us.

Although I totaly enjoyed the thrashing of the Ducks last bowl game, I would have loved to have had another shot at Arizona just to shut them up. The same holds true this year. Lets win big against the Bruins.

I think that the unusual nature of repeat games in a season will bring more attention to the game. Thus if we win ( and I believe we win big) our stock will rise for 2008.
