Utah fans are so predictable.
Anytime they say anything about BYU quarterbacks, just remind them about the passes thrown in the last 2 BYU-Utah games.
I'll say it again though, aside from Brian Johnsn being a very mediocre qb, they're going to be very tough next year. It's conceivable we both go into that game undefeated in conference and possibly both undefeated period. They return as much talent as we do and we have to play them in that dump in SLC.
We all knew though that Jacob Bower had the goods when it came to throwing the pigskin around, the issue was he wasn't a smart player on the field. He made mistake after mistake in practice and then handled critism like Tonya Harding. I think he'll make a fine qb for a team that can dumb down the system and let him wing it. There was another very talented BYU quarterback named Ben Olson that left too, anyone missing him either???
Max Hall is a winner and a gamer. It's built in, like Ty Detmer, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Tom Brady, etc. it's an intangible to never give up, not let the last play bother you and burn inside to win. After having his head taken off a few times by Bruce Davis, I loved how fired up Max got. Considering we have 2 more years of Collie, Hall, Unga+1, Sooto, George, and Pitta (add in Diluigi, etc.) I think Jacob Bower is as much of an afterthought as Ryan Kessman. Now if Jacob could run a 4.3 40 and play corner, we might miss him....
