Hey, for all those who hate the surcharge, call the ticket office. After waiting 20 minutes on the phone just to talk with the lady, I got $20 taken off my purchase. She said they couldn't do anything about it now unless they shut the whole thing down (which would probably cause more problems).

But I am upset with the $10 order charge and the $3 "miscellaneous item cost" for Cougar United. This better be worth it.

Hopefully someone can answer this for me. Everything I've read on CU says that purchasing a Cougar United membership ONLY benefits you for next year's 2009-2010 season. It states that by purchasing a Cougar United Membership today you will receive TOP priority for next year's season. I didn't buy a CU membership last year but was still able to get on at 9 am this morning and purchase my student pass and 4 guest passes for this season.

So here's my question. Does purchasing a CU membership THIS year have any affect on where my tickets will be for THIS current season? Because I'm under the impression that it doesn't have any affect this year. The secrets out that the ticket office isn't verifying whether or not you purchased a CU membership last year, so it appears as though I should be sitting pretty since I signed on and purchased my tickets at 9am, since its a "first come first serve kind of setup."

Last year there was an actual CU section at the football games which took up the first 8 rows along the east sidelines. This year I am under the impression that there isn't an actual "designated" section for CU members. Rather, CU members get first priority (which we now know isn't true)so people who buy tickets early will get seats down low and towards the 50 yd line, and it will trickle upwards and outwards the further in line you are. Am I correct in my logic? Nothing I've read says there's an actual CU section; only CU "priority seating". Well since we know there isn't any real CU priority I should be fine for this year not upgrading to a CU membership. Any help would be much appreciated

Buy your Cougar United passes ASAP! They will only be on sale for 3 days (August 1st-3rd). They WILL NOT be available after the 3rd. You can only buy regular all sport passes after the 3rd.

You DO NOT have to be a Cougar United member last year to get your CU pass this year.

Any and all confusion on the matter has been caused by the ticket office unfortunately, not athletics or CU.

We have been working VERY closely with Tom Holmoe and the athletics department to set up CU in the fashion that they would like it to best represent BYU athletics.

Again, buy your tickets ASAP!

Tell Tom Holmoe his ticket office sucks at customer service! And this year's system is way worse than last years. Last year, Cougar United members got guaranteed football seats rows 1-8 on the east stands. This year, you get squat!

I hope they change it for next year.

So do you have to be buying a Cougar United pass today(whether you had one last year or not) in order for it to work? You can't just buy a normal all-sport pass for it to go through?
