That's what I'm talking about. Next season doesn't really pertain to me, because I might be graduated by then! All I care about right now is this season, and I wanted my great seats again, and it seems like I'm not going to get them!

The one thing which may make this situation turn out ok, is that the same schlubs who waited till the last minute last year to get tickets and were denied will be the same ones who buy there tickets on August 20th. I would be surprised if those who do not frequen this and other boards ever try to buy their tickets before monday.

You don't really believe that Cougar United is going to leave the most passionate fans in the stadium out to dry do you?

There is a reason why Cougar United exists, and that is to reward exceptional fandom with exeptional benefits. Rest assured that your seating THIS season (08-09) will be priority seating. You will not be jumbled among the regular all sport passes, but given the most premium seating available to students.

Cougar United has the financial backing of sponsors that won't allow us to be overlooked by miscommunications from the ticket office. (BTW: multiple sponsors clammered for the CU title.)

As flawed as the system may seem at this point, believe me when I say, your Cougar United membership will be well worth it. Not only will you get the best seats, but the other perks of being a member this year are far greater than last.

This is an exciting year to be involved with the program in any capacity and as fans we have the great privelege to cheer on our team as they seek their quest for perfection.

Why would they advertise that former CU members would get the first priority for tickets? I would be fine if they said that everyone can get tickets on August 1. When they say everywhere that former CU members can get tickets first and then let everybody, that is just an outright lie.


Here are two places that BYU says that 2007-2008 CU members would be the only ones able to purchase tickets on August 1.

That is good to hear. I hope the location of our tickets will be worth the extra $50.

Any word on the complete disaster of making teams? Many people didn't get on the team before they bought the tickets and now they are being told that they are screwed. We made a team, others joined and then were told that we are not even on the team that we created! Does that make sense to anyone?!

The ticket office just says that it is all done by computer and they can't do anything about it. It is such a joke.

Those NOT members of CU last year ( like me, a uvu student) don't CARE about priority for next year....it's THIS year we ALL care about. Many people will be graduated and maybe moved on NEXT year. I WAS gonna pay the $50, but now that it's SUCH a pain, ESP. for non BYU students, which there are a ton, the normal sports pass is good for me. Besides now non BYU students all have to FIND a BYU student to get the guest pass for'm, and THAT is $125, so non BYU students are ALREADY paying more for the pass. As long as I'm at the games with even a DECENT seat, I'm happy. It's SUCH a jacked up system that SHOULD'VE stayed the way it was. CU members from last year can KEEP their benefits from last year to this one, which I have no problem with, but they just need to keep everything the same (no complex explanations about new changes, just let EVERYONE, no matter where you go to school, buy a pass for $95.) It's NOT rocket science. I know they're just giving BYU students priority, but there are ALOT of UVU students that go to games, and now we all have to find a byu students and then pay more than last year.....whatever.
