College Football Live is going to have Bronco on in a few minutes. Tune in now on ESPN or at 4:30 on ESPN2.

Just saw it. It was a quick interview...but Bronco sounded great. When asked if he thougt BYU would go undefeated...he simply stated that it was his feeling that we have the chance, but we are right not preparing for NIU.

He also compared Max Hall to Jim McMahon with his fierce competitiveness.

They also highlighted the match up of a BYU/Utah possibility at the end of the season to see who goes BCS busting.

It's nice to see the love from ESPN.

Just watched it - pretty decent interview.

I noted one question to Bronco about comparing the MWC to the WAC, given the last 2 "busters" were from the WAC. Bronco's answer basically summarized that while he recognizes the WAC has a couple of good teams at the top, the MWC is tougher from top to bottom. That should settle who has the better conference (which we already knew all along... )

Joe Schad of ESPN did the interview with Bronco. Here's a few highlights from the topics discussed:

- The 'Quest for Perfection': Paraphrase, The theme isn't just for this year, it's for every year. It goes along with the mission statement of BYU. Quote from Bronco: "I know the outside world thinks we're talking about being undefeated; really we're talking about making sure we're representing the institution the best way possible."
- Comparison of WAC and MWC: Quote from Bronco: "I do acknowledge the WAC has strong teams, but I think you'll see if you look at the Mountain West Conference from top to bottom, it's stronger and more consistent and more competitive from year to year."
- Bronco's comparison of Max Hall to Jim McMahon: Paraphrase, Comparison made because of the competitive spirit they both have, Bronco said he's never coached a player as competitive as Max. Quote from Bronco: "He just simply, in any critical situation, refuses to get beat. He's that type of young man.
- Will BYU go undefeated this season? Paraphrase, Great chance to be consistent, but it's tough to go undefeated in a given year. "I think we have enough talent, I think we have enough maturity, I think we have a strong enough work ethic. But I know the best way not to go undefeated and that's to have that as the only goal."

So, nothing earth-shattering (of course) but still good to see Bronco and the Cougars get some attention. The interview will be on again on ESPN2 when College Football Live is on at 4:30 p.m. (It will be about 20 minutes into the show.)

Also, right before the interview, the show discussed four BCS-busting big games. Two involved BYU (at Washington, at Utah) while a third included the Utes (at Michigan). The other? Wisconsin at Fresno State.

Yeah, it WAS a good interview...
Even though it has nothing to do with football, I'm GLAD he asked Bronco about the honor code, because people hearing that ALONE will separate BYU from ANY school. Plus, that implies that they dont tolerate ANY sketchy behavior- even if your NOT LDS, like jj diliugi is, you are to want to achieve the greatest you can, on and off the field. I was glad also to hear him answer schad's question in a way that represent's how HE view's the year, and not JUST give him an answer he'd would want to hear. Solid overall.
