I don't think Trent or Lee expect to ever be fantastic NBA players, there are lots of players in the NBA that come off the bench occassionaly and make lots of money. The money is a big motivator and why stay in college for another year if an NBA team would take you now? You risk injury, a down year, and you miss out on one year of making a lot of money. Besides you can develop your game in the NBA just like you can in college.

Having said that I think both players will be back. Lee is playing better than anyone else on the team right now but I still don't think he is as great of a pro prospect as Trent. 2 guards are a dime a dozen so I think he will stick around for sure. Trent is still questionable, after Louisville and UNC it was a sure bet, then after UNLV and utah it was a sure bet no. Now he is playing somewhere in the middle. If a team is willing to take either of these players they would be stupid not to jump at the chance.

I think both players need to have another summer of improvement. I would beg borrow and steal to get some big man coaching for both. If they both improve next year as much as this year they will be awesome. Go Cougs

He's a Junior though, so no need for any NBA worries. It's much too early for that. Maybe in a year the thought will enter his mind, but he'll still have the MWC regular season, the conference tournament, and March Madness to worry about.

In 2007, Young had a short stint with Spotter Leuven, a professional team in Belgium. He recently joined Mobis Phoebus of the Korean Basketball League (in South Korea).

Maybe we are jumping the gun when it comes to Lee Cummard. Why are we mentioning him entering the draft this year? Are you kidding me? Come on guys, its nice to have respect and love for the guy because he can flat out ball. But realistically he's not an NBA player right now. He is just coming into his own and its new to him to have this BYU team on his back. If we start saying he's an NBA player after this year or next then what happens when he underperforms for a few games? Does the Plaisted hype ring a bell?
