Anybody have ESPNisider and could post what Lunardi says abaout the Cougars?

I kind of lose your point on how that is a "lose" scenario for us. A 6th seed should beat an 11th seed and people shouldn't be that impressed if we did.

Wo, wo, wo, coug fans. What's all this talk about Davidson? It's way too early for match-ups. We need to win out to get a 6 seed. Right now both UNLV and UNM are listed as Bubblers unless they win out. At large bids will be difficult this year for our conference. BYU is probably the only one who will get an at large without winning the tourny. MWC is a 2 teamer this year. UNLV and UNM haven't beaten anybody noteworthy this year. I'm guessing we will get an 8 or 9 as usual when we have 22 plus wins.. unless we can win out the season and win the first 2 conference games. Believe me, I've been watching this chess game since 1976.

I agree. I would be very happy to get a number 6 seed, but in order to even have a chance at it we will have to win the Las Vegas invitational which will not be an easy task.

The truth of the matter is we will probably get screwed and get a 9-12 seed as per usual. The committee hates to have to match us up because we don't play on Sundays. I think they kind of screw us over because of it.

The Mountain West now boasts a pair of Top 30 teams. BYU (11-2) is clear of UNLV both in the standings and in terms of postseason profile.

Why seeded here?
The loss at San Diego State wasn't all that damaging.

May change because:
Tuesday at New Mexico all but assured an NCAA berth.

RPI 101-200: @Boise State
RPI 201+: none
