BYU will either get a bad seed or a bad site or both. If BYU wins today, that treatment will be a huge rip off. If BYU loses today, what are we whining about. A team that beats UNLV at the T&M is definitely a top 20 team in my book and maybe even a top 15 team. A team that almost but does not quite pull it off is a top 25 team. A team that gets killed is at best a top 30 team. Now that does depend a little bit on how much help the officials give to UNLV.
We are all obviously worried about our ability to win this game. We are now about 3-2 on neutral courts by my count. We lost to what has turned out to be about the best team in the country and noe that will likely prove to be Top 25 and beat another one that will likley be about Top 25 or 30. Then we beat a bad CSU team and a decent SDU team in games that were closer than they should have been at least for part of the game. NC and Louisville were banged up when we played them. But UNLV isnot better than Lousiville. But then wait, this is not a neutral court tongiht. On the road, we lost to a decent BSU Team, a decent SDSU Team, and got killed by UNLV and lost to a decent Wake Team. We beat a good New Mexico Team and a Decent Utah team, and some mediocre teams.
But we were looking alittle better on the raod near the end of the season.
All of this adds up to BYU 70 UNLV 69 and a #19 ranking and a #5 seed with a 33% degree of confidence. 67% confidence says UNLV wins by 7-9 points and we stay ranked at about #22 and get a #7 seed in a far away place.
