Note: Local college football fans, here's my weekly ballot that I turn into Associated Press on Sunday. A few readers have asked about putting in some more information about picking teams like I do (compared to how the overall tally turns out). I'll pick a few teams that had key games, or perhaps note them because what I see varies from what the overall list of voters is looking at.
I welcome feedback on this. For instance, because of covering BYU-Washington on Saturday at noon Pacific time, I barely saw that many games. I scour the Web and local TV for highlights, scores, etc. But the more eyes the merrier. You just can't ask me to vote for the Cougars at No. 1 each week. Not yet, anyway.

1. USC The spot for No. 1 is a rotating one. I wasn't impressed with Ohio State against Ohio
2. Georgia
3. Ohio State
4. Missouri No one can say I don't try to be fair. Attended this school's rival, but can't help but enjoy watching this team (especially Maclin)
5. Florida
6. Oklahoma
7. LSU
8. Auburn
9. Texas
10. Wisconsin
11. Alabama
12. BYU Chose not to drop Cougars, even after close call at Washington. Hard-fought road game deserves some respect
13. Kansas How about this team and No. 12 play sometime?
14. Texas Tech I'm just not sold yet on Red Raiders defense
15. East Carolina Wins over Virginia Tech and now West Virginia. Do I have 'em too low?
16. Arizona State
17. Wake Forest
18. Utah I got on the bandwagon early, having them ranked after beating Michigan and moving 'em a few spots before a trouncing of UNLV
19. Oregon
20. South Florida Needed overtime for Central Florida, but it was a hotly contested game like BYU-UW
21. Penn State
22. Fresno State Good to see Pat Hill has a tough team again
23. West Virginia Loss to ECU might not be a huge shame, but I'm thinking Bill Stewart won't have this team ranked much longer
24. UCLA Bruins have plenty of time to get ready for Cougars on Saturday
25. Illinois Bounced back after hard loss to Missouri
