As scheduled, it happened.
Bronco Mendenhall made his official visit today on BYU's campus, toured the facilities under construction, viewed future plans for offices and other amenities and met with Gary Crowton for most of the afternoon.
Mendenhall was accompanied by his wife and children. He also met with President Bateman and had a lengthy interview.
There was speculation that Mendenhall may have finished the process by meeting with a GA (Bishop Edgley who was at the game) but that did not happen. Bateman was the highest interview he got while on campus.
Mendenhall did not meet with the media or give out any interviews Saturday night. The process continues.
In other news, both BYU and San Antonio LB Brock Stratton have mutually agreed not to hold each other to commitments. Stratton got off his mission on Friday. He has an official recruiting visit planned on Monday to Texas Tech and plans on another trip to Texas A&M.
There is certain to be Internet debates on who did what and how to who, but believe me it wouldn't do either party any good to have that fly. Right now both are satisfied, period.
