What's the latest on the Bronco Mendenhall alleged hire?
He's waiting by the phone to see if his conditions are handled by Gary Crowton. One of the biggest conditions is that he be able to work around his family time. Crowton is known to work his assistant coaches for long hours in game preparaiton. LaVell's old staff had to give up long lunches at home, tee times and adjust their dinner schedules.
The Board of Trustees meets on Wednesday and a possible answer of approval and acceptance could come after that meeting of the board, depending upon acceptance of terms by both parties. Still, Bronco would have the final say once an offer and approval has been given.
Pat Ridgell is working on a story with interviews with Bronco, Kyle Whittingham and others including BYU athletic director Val Hale.
