BYU's next defensive coordinator it hip-deep in UCLA game film this week.
But sources on the Lobo coaching staff say the new defensive coordinator for BYU might be leaving for Provo but he's not taking any of his staff with him.
Perhaps it is too early for Mendenhall to even broach the subject of who he'll bring with him since Gary Crowton said Mendenhall will interview all members of BYU's current defensive staff before making a recommendation.
On the Lobo side of things, those who are in the know can't see any defections following Mendenhall from the UNM situation.
There is a Crowton crony name Bradford, I believe Jim Bradford, a former coach at Ricks and some other schools around the country who could pop in somewhere sometime but it is way to early to start lining up names and having others fired. HB reported a Crowton Bob Toledo (ex-UCLA head coach) contact. But that wouldn't be too surprising since Toledo joins an army of coaches out there looking for work.
